Freeway Coaches N952KBJ is a Volvo Olympian with Northern Counties Palatine 1 bodywork. Seen in Chesterfield, N952KBJ was new to Chambers of Bures.

on sunday, april 29th, at 3:42am, a tanker truck carrying 8600 gallons of gasoline crashed and exploded, causing the collapse of the 580 freeway overpass onto I-880. the accident occurred in oakland bordering emeryville near the entrance of the bay bridge toll plaza.

the truck driver, mr mosqueda, was heading towards a gas station near the oakland airport when he lost control of his truck, colliding with the guard-rail and eventually flipping his truck. the explosion sent flames several hundred feet into the air. the heat from the flames quickly caused the melted steel girders and bolts that supported the concrete highway to collapse. the section of the 580 freeway came crashing down 30 feet onto interstate 880 below. on an average day both sections of the freeway are used by 160,000 vehicles.

damaged is estimated in the tens of millions and will take months to repair. fortunately, the driver of the truck survived with second degree burns. he hailed down a taxi cab and he was treated at a nearby hospital.

the accident occurred only a mile away from where i live. i heard helicopters, sirens and construction vehicles all morning long but i had no clue what had happened until i read the news. when i drove to the scene of the accident it was surreal to see the melted down section of the freeway. the concrete looked like a painting by dali.

Rush hour on the North Western motorway

This is Freeway Ricky, he’s the real Rick Ross and he ain’t a fucking rapper. Working at Freshjive, I get to meet a lot of interesting people with interesting stories. Rick Ross probably takes the cake. Never did I think I would get to meet the man that introduced crack cocaine to world, let alone photograph him. His story is pretty incredible and I suggest looking into it.

Los Angeles, all about cars.

This photoset is from a Detroit-area trip I took in 2006. I found them on my old computer and wondered why I never uploaded most of them.

This is the ramp leading from I-96 to Novi Road. To get to Fountain Walk, you have to straight through, and about halfway down a ramp that would take you back onto I-96 otherwise.

Not quite as cool as I'd hoped, but then daylight was wasting and I had a ton of stuff to do that day. Ah well - it's 365 photos, not 365 masterpieces!

This small, about 106,000 square foot, Sam's Club store is located in the Eastern part of the City of Gaitherburg, in Montgomery County, Maryland, USA. It is the only Sam's Club store in all of Montgomery County, Maryland, and is at least 20 years old, since a historic aerial image on Google Earth shows that this store was already built in April of 1993. However, it might have originally been built as some other store, and converted into a Sam's Club later, I'm not sure, but seeing as Montgomery County has strict land use and zoning regulations, that might have been what was done here, since that is relatively common practice among retailers in areas with strict zoning ordinances, such as Montgomery County, Maryland. It is because of these strict zoning ordinances that Montgomery County still only has one Wal-Mart store, though that one was actually originally built as a Wal-Mart store in the mid to late 1990's decade, in the community of Germantown, in the County's Northern area. That Wal-Mart store is a Non-Supercenter Wal-Mart of about 149,000 square feet in size which has proposed expanding into an about 167,000 square foot Wal-Mart Supercenter in the same building, but that might take a while, if it ever happens, because of the aforementioned strict land use and zoning ordinances in Montgomery County, Maryland. Gaithersburg is a Northern, middle ring suburb of Washington, DC, located in the Central area of Montgomery County, Maryland, that currently has a young and very diverse population of about 61,000 people, and is growing relatively fast in population. Montgomery County, Maryland is located just North of Washington, DC, is the most populated of the 24 counties in the U.S. state of Maryland, currently has a diverse population of about 990,000 people, and is growing relatively fast in population. Montgomery County, Maryland is the second most populated county in the vast Washington, DC-Baltimore metropolitan area, behind neighboring Fairfax County, Virginia, which is in turn also the most populated county in the U.S. state of Virginia, with an also diverse current population of about 1.1 million people, and growing in population at about the same relatively fast rate as Montgomery County, Maryland.
