keep pray and calm is a wayout to heaven

Back on I-90 on the western climb up to Lookout Pass at the Idaho/Montana border. I made it across this shoulderless bridge by waiting for a major gap in traffic.

Traffic isn't so bad now. Wait until later when people are rushing home. I've been caught in stop and go traffic on a Saturday afternoon before. I usually skip this and take Sepulveda Blvd home. Is it much quicker? Not really, at least I'm not stopped.

Adam's tabla drum fell out of the back of the hatchback. He literally jogged a mile back to go get it, while we parked with hazards on in the middle of the freeway onramp.

When the dirt road would pass under I-80 we'd get a respite fromt he wind and sleet, and eat until we got too cold to stay still. Later we stopped in Arlington, a tiny little one-gas-station stop on the interstate, and I ate two sandwiches and a giant hot chocolate. Kurt had two hot chocolates. Kerry kept browsing for more food, and didn't seem to want to leave. Finally we went back out, for the last 15 miles or so.

Newton County, MO- I-49 & US 71 S Bound where the ramp diverges for MO Supplemental Route V heading east to Diamond, MO. with a population of 935. To the west the highway immediately ends at Old Highway 71. This diamond interchange is located in some really neat rural Missouri hilly landscapes as noticed in this photo.
