Hard work is performed in the control room in an amazing abandoned steelworks in Austria. The place has thousands of interesting things to photograph. Maybe the most dirty place I have visited so far, but i enjoyed every second of being there.

I photographed this unique buck in late July. Apparently, he had no antler at all, yet he was sexually intact and chasing a doe vigorously. I have never seen a mature buck like this in the rutting season before.
this shot may imply that I like cats, but the truth is, they scare the hell out of me. I am so afraid of them I get the chill just sensing they are around. obviously, this cat could tell I was scared and wanted to chase me, and stroke itself against me, which made me freak out. I took this shot escaping into the car and having the cat climb the car. heheheh.

It was so freaking hot this day, and I was out walking the whole day. I even walked up a steep (fairly large) hill. Took an hour to get up, and I didn't bring any water.

Yeah, I know, there are so many 'Keep Calm And Carry On' spoofs out there and we are all a little tired of it. But I just had to add this one. Because, you know, I am much more a freak out then keep calm kinda girl.

A truly bizarre and awesome Moth Caterpillar (Oberthueria sp., Endromidae), hangs in "lifeless mode" due to my disturbing its branch to get a shot. Body length almost 12cm (~5 inches) plus tail. And yes, thats a shield or hood (similar to a Hooded Mantis) behind its head.
