the view from the Mola Castellana, a peak in the Els Ports. we went mushroom picking, but I could not resist taking a pic of this view from the edge of the cliffs down to the Ebro valley and Caramella canyon. The cliff drop down hundreds of feet-this is as close as I dared to apporach.
The Els Ports are a Karst range near Tortosa.

Years ago when a youngster stepped off a school bus and trudged up this lane, their walk passed by two trees that framed the approach to a barn and their farm site. Sometimes only in our advanced years do we realize there were things we took for granted that helped frame our childhood environment but now only serve as perches for pigeons and the occasional chicken.
De hortensiafamilie (Hydrangeaceae) is een familie van tweezaadlobbige planten, meest kruidachtige planten en heesters. De familie komt voor in warmere gematigde streken en enkele soorten ervan ook in de tropen. In Nederland komen twee geslachten voor die als sierstruik in cultuur zijn en soms verwilderd gedijen: boerenjasmijn (Philadelphus) en Deutzia. Veel gekweekt wordt ook de Hortensia (Hydrangea).

I put the theatre in the purple sunrise cloud, it looked like a mountain. Besides, the branches nearby made a good frame.

Still working on my Brussels series, I headed underground to the Pannenhuis metro station—an unexpectedly cinematic space. The harsh, direct light from above cut across the platform like a spotlight, isolating passengers as they stepped onto or off the train. Every frame was a waiting game—looking for that split second where movement, expression, and architecture aligned.
What attracts me to this image are several key aspects: the layered composition—featuring the man stepping out while his reflection remains inside the train—evokes a subtle duality. The narrow light beam emphasizes that moment and introduces a quiet tension. Although a simple, candid scene, the harmony between movement and atmosphere captivates me and gives the frame a sense of completeness.

I was out in the Bend area giving a lecture, and my friend Brent McGregor was kind enough to take me on some hikes and snowshoe trips to lesser known areas. This spot offered views of Broken Top, all three of the sisters peaks, Jack, Jefferson, and Hood.
