Lab2014 students presented their final design explorations for Benjamin Bratton's Critical Frameworks section, "2 or 3 Things I Know About The Stack" at The California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (Calit2) at UCSD. The group visited an immersive 3-D projection "CAVE", a 4K digital theater and the nanotech cleanrooms on campus, as well as The Salk Institute for Biological Studies.

Have you ever thought in your social media framework?
Due to the rapid adoption of social media, I’ve come up with a new Social Media Framework aimed to empower Business and Communities beyond Social Media. It’s based essentially on Human Business Interactions.
To me, the social media framework aids comprehension of workflow experiences by describing their components, it also optimizes my social media workflow in an easier way since a framework may include components that are applicable to them all.

In the framework of the National Model United Nations held in Azerbaijan on 20-23 February 2016, the simulation of the UN General Assembly on the case of strengthening of the UN system and reform of its main institutions was organised.
87 people participated in the simulation conference during four days. The sessions were moderated by Azer Abasaliyev and Turkan Mukhtarova. Two draft resolutions were submitted by the member states, one of which sponsored by Canada, Nigeria, France, United Arabic Emirates, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the United States of America, the People's Republic of China, Netherlands, Indonesia and Belgium was adopted by a two-thirds majority. As the result of the game, the participants were awarded with certificates. For their outstanding contribution to the committee the following delegates were awarded at the closing ceremony.

The 2.5 hectare Former BP site has emerged from it's polluted past to become a contemporary post industrial harbour front park. In its' former state, 31 oil storage tanks and ancillary facilities stood on massive concrete platforms carved from the sandstone bedrock. As a consequence of remediation to remove contamination, many industrial structures were demolished leaving behind dislocated historic fragments. The design reconnects these resilient fragments, then contrasts them against simple contemporary structures to retain their visual and cultural prominence. The site’s industrial heritage is celebrated in an environmental framework of regenerating bush land and constructed wetlands. Viewing decks and walking platforms float over the dramatic sandstone cliff cutting's whilst concrete and steel stairs wrap over and around the topography. The project has won five awards including the Australian Institute of Landscape architects NSW design excellence award of 2005.

The Government of Azerbaijan and United Nations launched the formulation of the joint strategic partnership framework for the next five years.
The Ministry of Economy and Industry hosted the launch of the joint consultation process, which brought together senior government officials, development partners, representatives from the private sector and civil society to identify the broad priority areas for the cooperation between the UN system and the Government. The prospective collaboration framework will be aligned with the national priorities that are articulated in ‘Azerbaijan: Vision 2020’ development concept, which builds on the country’s latest socio-economic achievements and provides a framework for its transition from a traditional economy to a knowledge-based, competitive and diversified economy.
The new strategy will support the agreed international goals and Post-2015 Development Agenda, a new framework for sustainable development, reaffirming the mutual commitment of the Government of Azerbaijan and United Nations to further deepen partnership and continue working in a concerted and effective manner. It will constitute a robust mechanism to foster coherence, relevance, effectiveness and efficiency within the UN system, and will give a significant attention to achieving results, with a focus on strengthening national Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) capacity and deepening the integration of M&E into national development planning process.
On behalf of the Government of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Economy and Industry will further co-lead the process of the preparation of the next partnership strategy until the end of August together with the United Nations and in consultation with all government and international partners. The strategic directions and expected results of the next partnership framework will be validated tentatively by end-September and endorsed by the Government by December 2014.
