Hands on Music series:

Beautiful colors of a purple floral garment offset the neutral beige tones of a large frame drum and the delicately lighted hand of a musician playing the drum. One can feel the touch of the hand, firm enough to awaken the sound of the drum and gentle enough to allow and appreciate the voice of the instrument.

Final Frame

I took some pictures for a friend’s wedding. This was the last frame.

I think they were a little worn out…!

I scraped the center portion of the mirror and then inserted picutre behind so th emirror is the matte

Anna framing Anna - a poor attempt at what I had in mind, but I ran out of time to do more.

Killerton estate on a sunny late September Monday afternoon - next to the frame is a drawing of the same view a hundred years ago - I think the fallen tree was the focal point in the drawing.

The sunset starts to break through and lights the downtown buildings, as seen through one of the openings at Fenway Park.

The eagle and American flag fly above the Boston Arts Academy in the foreground while the evening colors are reflecting on 111 Huntington Avenue, also known as the "R2D2 Building".

Single handedly framing the next-door neighbor's new home by Susan Lake in Seldovia Alaska. They had no problem dealing with a cross dresser, and enjoyed watching missionaries scurry away when un-awares of shock value next door.

Presenting photos is a hard challenge and Flickr, which we all know and love, may not provide the very best interface for that purpose.

In his series of 20 photos I try to present them in a more traditional manner that you would use for a print - namely on a matte with a dark frame.

This picture is of a very special moment that we shared with our good friends in the Caribbean in 2010. So glad we could be part of this. Taken with a Canon 50D and the Canon EF50mm 1.4 @ f/2.8.

Sdgard, fubuki, ocellnuri, and I met up at the Fairgrounds yesterday for a spur-of-the-moment Raleigh flickr pseudo-meetup. We had fun being silly, makin' fun of people, and of course, takin' pictures.

Have our son, partner and 3 grandchildren coming today so an early walk for Ruby in the woods before it gets too hot. It turned into a fungi foray there were literally hundreds of them so a few images and mostly full frame not cropped. I have given up trying to identify them as they have different names and descriptions in all of my books.

Embroidary still framed......

Blog post and tutorial coming!

In the midst of framing peeled F2B Polaroids.

Framed are these little gems of F2B also beautiful.

I love this film.

Ah, the last exterior wall is framed. This wall (the northern one) was the worst wall when it came to bowing and being so far out of kilter. This last section will be home to the front door and the heating/ac unit that goes through the wall (think motel unit). Down the road, I'll likely invest in a split heat pump for the home, but for now, this will suffice and it eliminates all hvac ducts - which are a notorious breeding ground for dust and bacteria.

At Winter Light Spectacular, people have the opportunity to have photos taken with the "real" Santa, or to pose in this frame for friends and family to snap them.

Burning Frame Hamburg 2014

Fossil coral framed in black. Frame was originally sold to me as matte onyx - not so. It's clearly not as strong. Probably some sort of carbonaceous siltstone. But I like the color combination. Vintage sterling chain.

10 km, smooth paved walking path for one half that is accessible to bikes and wheelchairs; the other half is a rocky maze of bluffs. If you couldn't hear traffic, you'd have no sense you were within a town.

Sorry, I took this out of the Exchange District set, because it's actually just outside the District : (
