Idea: How much does one can of soup cost? It's tempting to divide 5 by 6 isn't it? Or, what's cheaper 5 for 6 or 6 for 7?
Will anyone ever, ever have the need for bold Burmese fractions?
Semi-lining numerals after Motoya's Burmese metal types from the 1950s.
Now. Am I going to think about the same thing for the Thai numerals?

This time other fraction, Wolfpack. This is one of my favourite nation of Lego Castle. Maybe that gatehouse will be a part of something bigger :) I want to build big fortress based on modular elements, which could be useable in other models. But I’m not sure that my computer has enough power, we will see ;)

A man is like a fraction whose numerator is what he is and whose denominator is what he thinks of himself. The larger the denominator the smaller the fraction.

Don't you envy a country where even the novelists are numerate?
It is not like I haven't noticed this before, but why do gas prices always use the 9/10 fraction? Once again the 365 project provided a topic to research! In case you are interested, this web site provided an interesting answer!
Mantinea
Tritetartemorion (Silver, 0.70 g), c. 420-385. -- three acorns arranged in a triangle, their tops at the center. Rev. arranged in a triangle, their bottoms at the center. BMC 12 = Traité III 961, pl. CCXXVI, 38. SNG Fitzwilliam 3885 var. Extremely rare. A very attractive coin, well-struck and well-centered. About extremely fine.
A note from BCD: the three Ts on the reverse of a Peloponnesian tritetartemorion (¾ of an obol, always on the Aeginetan standard) can be quite a puzzle if no other indication of an ethnic exists on the coin. Fortunately this rare fraction leaves us with no doubt as to where it belongs. Olympia produced another version of this rare denomination and recently collectors were surprised to see two of these rarities come up for sale one after the other (Leu 90, 120 and LHS 95, 626). But what about coins that obviously belong to the same group, and are undoubtedly Peloponnesian, but for some reason do not reveal their minting authority? For example, see lots 1772-1773 at the end of this catalogue.
