I lived opposite this remarkable building for 6 years since 2007. Stupidly, it did not cross my mind to visit it and I only rarely photographed some of its outside views. The building boasts 34000 m2 (of which 15400 m2 are actually useable). Although "remarkable" (namely by its sheer size), I cannot pretend that I like it and this probably explains my lack of interest for it over these years. On the few occasions that it attracted me to photograph it, it was due to its interesting shadows and reflections of its white walls on the wet ground below.

The former municipal power plant in Kołobrzeg (Kolberg) in Poland. The building was erected 1905 and operated until WW II. It is standing in the middle of the city and was transformed after the war into a candy factory. The building is a nice witness of early 20th century power production and it hopefully will be preserved.

Photographed on Ilford FP4, developed in FX-37 1:3, five minutes. Yellow filter used to improve contrast.
Camera: Voigtlander Bessa with f3.5 Skopar lens, at f16.
This lens barely covers the 6x9 format - even at f16 you can see aberration artifacts in the corners. But it can produce a decent photograph if you focus carefully and use a smaller aperture.
