Echinacea pallida is a fast growing, erect perennial. Ideal plant for low maintenance gardens. Profuse mahogany, conical-centered flowers with narrow, pendulous, pink, rose, or white petals, 4 to 6 inches wide, atop hairy stems. This perennial blooms all summer and into fall. Leaves are 8 inches long, linear to lance-shaped to elliptic. Superb in the perennial or mixed border. Good cut flower. May be divided in spring or fall. Native of Central U.S. Plant in full sun; requires average soil.
St Andrews GV II Narrow-frontage house in row, steeped forward from adjoining, left. Dated CH 1840 over door, but in style identical with Dynevor House, dated 1801 (qv). Fine limestone ashlar, hipped roof in tile behind parapet. Three storeys, 2-windowed, included full height canted bay, right; all 12-pane sashes. Left is 6-panel C20 door under transom light in pedimented doorcase with dentils, up 3 steps with simple wrought iron handrails and balusters. Plinth, plain cill band at first floor, moulded dentil cornice, plain coping to blocking which sweeps down on return, left. Deep brick stacks to right appear to be shared with adjoining property.
