Dropped into the Fork & Finger Festival yesterday in Langley. We had a great time trying restaurants and visiting the shops. This picture was taken near the Chef presentation area and is more a tribute to the designer than my photography. However I really liked it.
This was my father''s garden fork - he loved his garden and it was well used over very many years. I used it over the weekend for the first time, probably, since I moved in.
I remember him putting the string on the handle when it was starting to show its age, and it was probably replaced a good few times.

One of only a couple of looks at this Pacific mountain valley species. This pair was busy building a nest in a utility pole crossbrace.
This hand-painted rock is a homage to now famous (thanks to Stephenie and her Twilight vampires who chose it to be their home) little rainy town of Forks, WA.
