The material in the middle doesn't really add to the strength of the fork, removing it looks a lot cooler, no?
Oct. 8, 2024: Route 66 in Ash Fork, Arizona. About 400 people live in Ash Fork, once a thriving Santa Fe Railroad town, which has fallen upon hard times. In 1960, Santa Fe moved the rail line away from the community. Around 1980, I-40 bypassed Ash Fork. Major fires in 1977 and 1987 destroyed much of the downtown.

Animas Forks Ghost Town can be reached by going through Silverton, going over Cinnamon Pass, Engineer Pass, and California Pass. The easiest way is through Silverton. If you get in the area be sure to see it.

These forks have been twisted and turned into card holders (mini fork easels). They're perfect for holding recipes, business cards, place cards at a meal, photos, notes, ACEOs, etc.
Went to the forks for my roomie's birthday. Fun day all in all. Snapping shots through our walk in the forks and the sign caught my eye. Found it funny that they didn't have anything on the board.
Wish there coulda been another forks flag on the left to balance it out. I know the comp isn't the greatest but this was the only architectural shot I like that day. Practice practice practice.

Double Plate fork is for my touring bike. This was going on polo bike, but it has bigger clearance and would be better on tourer.
Sloped shoulder fork is for the Polo Bike.
Square shouldered crown sitting on jig is possibly for a porteur (next frame build)
