Field Forgetmenot it was growing at the side of my house in a crack in the tarmac it will get trodden on if I leave it so I pulled it up and planted it in a stone trough in the garden where it will at least survive to hopefully flower again.

“Forget-me-nots... She loved those flowers more than any other in their big beautiful garden or in the whole wide world for that matter. They were sky blue, just like his eyes, they held a promise... Forget me not.” Melanie Sargsian
The actual summit of Forgetmenot Mountain is quite a distance from the trailhead at the Little Elbow Recreation area, and so we often content ourselves with shorter hike by going to a high point on the mainly broad ridge leading to it. That ridge connects the summit Forgetmenot Mountain to its North Peak, which is on prominent view from the highway leading to the Little Elbow Recreation Area. On this hike we walked around 17 km's return distance, gaining a smidge over 1000 m's of elevation with all the ups and downs added up, taking 6 hours 15 minutes to do so.

This mirror pond was just so pretty in the early morning light today... Went off to the country in search of some scenes and since I cannot hike with huge bandages still on my feet this pond in Kananaskis Country was very convenient :-)
