The Zuiderzee Museum is a cultural history museum in the Dutch city of Enkhuizen. In the museum that exists since 1948 the culture and maritime history of the former Zuiderzee (now the IJsselmeer, Markermeer and the Wadden Sea) is shown. In 1983 it was expanded with a very large outdoor space where villages and buildings have been rebuilt.

It felt fitting to build a forge for the Iron Forge! I started with the anvil, and then hit on the idea to use the minifig torsos to make bellows too. I like how it came out, but it's pretty fiddly. The torso in the chimney was almost an afterthought, it was an experiment to see if the spacing of the parts would work the way I hoped, and it turned out it did.
This was a project I had wanted to do for a long time. Not particularly here, but just the idea. I took these photos over the course of 2020-2021. The original plan was to start in the Spring, but the park was closed from the pandemic.
I actually took photos on 27 different occasions so I wouldn't miss the best of each season. I'm still considering putting more of them together in some other way but can't decide how. Maybe I won't. I also took photos in 4 other places and I'll look at editing some of them next. Not all of them are going to work.
I'm glad I got the summer shot last year because the tree is struggling this year.
Part way through taking my Valley Forge set, I decided I wanted to do one of my house, but I only have two seasons so far. I also am taking a set of panoramas at a horse farm to try blending together from left to right.
On December 19, 1777, when Washington's army marched into camp at Valley Forge, tired, cold, and ill-equipped, it was lacking in much of the training essential for consistent success on the battlefield. On June 19, 1778, after a six-month encampment, this same army emerged to pursue and successfully engage Lt. Gen. Sir Henry Clinton's British army at the Battle of Monmouth in New Jersey. The ordered ranks, martial appearance, revived spirit, and fighting skill of the American soldiers spoke of a great transformation having occurred amidst the cold, sickness, and hardship that was Valley Forge.

An Old friend of mine made this spear a long time ago for EZ, but I was never happy with the texture, so I went ahead and updated them. Coming soon along with a huge update for melee.

I visited Glastonbury on Wednesday 21st & Thursday 22nd June 2023 to capture some of the bus action transporting festival goers to the annual event. Of course, I was instantly attracted to the Bristol VRs and Olympians operated by Chepstow Classic Buses, but there were plenty of other interesting buses to photograph as well!
