We had beautiful sunshine in Durham at the weekend. Exactly what we had been waiting for, so we could have a woodland shoot during wild garlic season. The fragrance is amazing. We brought some back home to add to food. ❤️😍😋 Happy new week all.

Even shorter stays in the forest can have very good health effects.

Forest bathing: Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the forest.

Here I tried to capture the forest as a vertical panorama.

Some parts of Norway has snow, some has icy roads and no snow, some has nothing else but empty branches, but we always have green pine and spruce 🌲

I can't get enough of the trails I have in my neighborhood, luckily Aiko is the best companion for long hikes 😄

It's a relief to hike these days 🍁

I just love the colours, the birds and the wind and definitely no noise whatsoever 🙏

You can spot Aiko's white tail at the bottom of the trail 🐕

When out hiking on new trails I learned that's important to check what it looked like where I came from, in case I got lost 😆

So occasionally I do, and this glory stood in silence and just wanted me to take a photo of it to show my Flickr friends😋

And ofc this is valid for life itself too 🙏

A hobby is a hobby, I guess😁.

It's very fascinating to explore all what there is in the forest, I love my hikes deep in the Norwegian forest 😄

Great River Road Series

Some water falls are famous for their striking size and extraordinary beauty. Some are not all that impressive. You just kinda find them by accident. You're strolling along on a hiking trail and suddenly there it is. It's like when you're looking for an item in a cluttered closet and you're find something else thats you may have lost or forget about. I find it hard to resist just taking a break here, sitting down and listening to the splashing sounds of the water falling into the perfect pool. Eyeing the sunlight on the trees along the ridge, and the glowing leaves laying on the forest floor.

A small stream cascades down a ravine toward Lake Kinkide.

The forest feels good today watching the flowing water cascading down flat rocks creating little ripples radiating out from the point of impact. Diffused sunlight strikes the green forest moss growing on the damp rocks. A few stubborn leaves hangs on to the tree limbs. A hint of sunlight can be seen peaking through the bare branches of the winter trees.

Forest bathing on a beautiful morning in Essex. The mist hung around just long enough to walk the perimeter of this conservation area. I had headed off to a regular spot hoping the mist would last but when I arrived there was a working party setting up so I moved on to an area I had been 'eyeing up' for a while. After passing another wood without any mist hanging inside I followed a track hoping to find another area. 30 minutes later I found my therapy.

不論結果怎麼樣，反正在這個頭兒是誰誰誰做，怎麼做大家還是都會罵的時代，自己咖努力比較實在啦，繼續往前進吧~

The swamp is silent and still in the winter. Silent are the croaking frogs, silent are the lonesome doves, silent are the flopping fish leaping out of the water to nab a bug.

木戶池是志賀高原行程的基本配備....(你知道的......)，來到池畔植滿白樺樹的木戶池，雖然山下的雲霧開始湧起，但交疊著著午間的日陽斜照，眼前景色更顯清新美好。

木戶池這裡有溫泉也有滑雪場、露營場，設有唯一一間飯店－木戶池溫泉飯店，在這寧靜的地方就算只是划個小船或在池畔漫步也是挺浪漫的。

A stonewall lined stream constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. A spigot of water in the stream helps create a pastoral scene with a large white barn in the background brightened by the evening sunshine. The barn now serves as a visitor center with brochures and maps available.

Love the feel of the forest by a small stream flowing over a solid rock floor. Leaves cluttering the banks, they haven’t been here long, still crisp and still have color giving the floor a twinkling of light that catches the falling sunlight here and there. The green moss too is reactive to the low sun. Some greens are bright and colorful, while the shaded greens are dull and almost brown. Providing contrast to allow the bright greens the spotlight for the moment.

Sometimes the sunlight will sneak in through a canyon opening and illuminate a few large rocks here and there. Creating specs of glowing moss covered rocks, leaving others hidden in the silent shadows.

For me, the Heart Gardens Queen Anne's Lace is the star of this picture. They are 17 years and going strong in SL. Mindful Cove is the perfect setting for forest bathing.

Cypress knees hold a special place in my vision of the world. After years of trying to find out just why a cypress tree have knees our scientist have shrugged their shoulder. They don’t know. They have knees for a reason, but we won’t find it with test tubes and microscopes.
