Fore Abbey (Irish: Mainistir Fhobhair) is the old Benedictine Abbey ruin, situated to the north of Lough Lene in County Westmeath, Ireland.
In the 13th century the Hugh de Lacy the Norman and landlord built a Bendictine priory in the valley nearby. Many of the buildings that remain today (in ruins) are from the 15th century and have been restored throughout this century, making Fore Abbey the largest group of 300 Benedictine to have sojourned and remained in Ireland. This priory was dedicated to both St Feichin and St Taurin, the Evreux, Normandy abbot of the parent monastery.
The Abbey is also noted for what local populations call its seven wonders:
1. The monastery built upon the bog.
2. The mill without a race (Lough Lene water flows from the hill).
3. The water that flows uphill.
4. The tree that has three branches/the tree that won’t burn.
5. The water that doesn’t boil.
6. The anchorite in a cell
7. The lintel-stone raised by St. Fechin’s prayers.
With a nice change of scenery on the off-season Cape Cod, GP28 MC 2009 leads a 'fore' care Energy Train past the mini golf course in downtown Sandwich, MA. With bare trees due to the winter season, the right-of-way was somewhat clear to make a decent shot of a train passing a popular summertime attraction during the summer months. Apart from the small tree photobombing the end of the 2009, the somewhat photogenic marsh reeds make an appearance in front of the sill and below of the 2009. Hopefully some brush cutting can make this shot somewhat better if the Mass Coastal chooses to have it's track crews invest time for passengers to have a clearer vision of the scenery they pay to see.

A bedroom inside an abandoned farmhouse.
Built in the 1800s this farmhouse has Neoclassical elements such as a decorative frontispiece above the entrance door, decorative quoining along the exterior, a cross-hipped roof and dichromatic brickwork. The home also has a double-door and centered entranceway as well as shutters on all of the windows. There is also a more modern L-shaped addition on the back of the home. Once part of a larger farmstead the original barn and outbuildings were demolished between 2014 and 2015. Mature trees are present throughout the property including the long driveway leading up to the house. The farmstead was added to a heritage list in late 2016, likely after the home had already become vacant.
What I know about one of the last occupants is that he was an elderly German man who's last occupations were a security guard as well as a bus driver. He likely ended up in a retirement home at some point and his heirs have yet to do anything with the property.
What do you guys think about that spider at the end of the video!?

A call from my friend Douglas and I was up and at 'em and off to catch the Minnesota Commercial's Hugo Job headed through Roseville, White Bear Lake, and Vadnais Heights. The engine had its work cut out for it since the job usually hauls 6 cars and not 15-16 cars. It struggled up hill putting the old GE to work, but made it north.
We catch the train passing by the golf course nearing White Bear Lake after struggling out of the Vadnais Heights area.
