This building turned out to not quite be abandoned--while I was shooting it, I discovered that there were a bunch of boxes and crates inside (piled by the window).

Ok, it's a crummy self-portrait, but hear me out.
One of my favorite "fools" from literature is Till Eulenspiegel, who I am trying to depict with my funny hat and crazy expression. Till was quite a guy in the Middle Ages. His pranks and jokes would often expose the foolishness and vices in others around him. With his the translation of his last name being "owl mirror," Till represents wisdom and and exposure. He was not a popular guy. Till can be seen today as a the stereotypical fool: floppy hat, bells, and pied outfits. I prefer him with his tradtional hat, though, long with a tassel.

Fooled me!
I seem to have trouble distinguishing the real from the fake! Recently I was about to pick up what I thought was a tossed away snake toy when the thing moved and now this snake above my head got me through whole scenarios involving the gorging on baby birds and death and dying happening right near me and all that may go on above one's head when it turned out to be a fake! What Relief!!! My mind hours later is still spinning.
