Shepard wrote Fool for Love shortly after breaking up with his wife O-Lan to be with Jessica Lange. In a letter to his friend and virtuoso collaborator, Joe Chaikin, Shepard described his play, Fool for Love as "the outcome of all this tumultuous feeling I've been going through this past year…it's a very emotional play and in some ways embarrassing for me to witness but somehow necessary at the same time."

The sigil of my house. When I took it out for a spin the last time, the ears were a little less pointy and people couldn't decide if it was a peep bunny or a kitty. Either works.
At some point after the last time it was out, Pete managed to trip me and I ended up caving in the head when I grabbed onto a wall for support. (It lives in the umbrella stand near the door, and I think we all know how Pete feels about doors.)
I took all the old paper mache off, and put in new lights, fixed the one ear that was really bad, straightened it all out, re-papered it and better than ever!

SB 900 at 1/64 behind and below the flower and aimed at the wall. I used a piece of black foamboard between the strobe and the daffodil to block some of the light falling directly onto the flower. This made it backlit from the bounce of the flash on the light wall behind and left the ambient window light to light the flower from the left
Extra card for when you need a deck that is divisible into five equal piles. Signifies a fool, mucking about, or playing.
