Another shot in the fog. This one is looking east from the service road that runs along the boundary of the Marovitz Golf Course.
My friend and I met up before dawn in order to drive to Woodburn for the tulip fields that are in bloom every spring. We checked the weather and knew it was going to be the best day of the week. Made sure about the time of sunrise and off we went! But the closer we got to the field, the foggier it got. We were so disappointed, but made the most of it and I actually am pleased with the effect the fog made on our pictures. We will try for a sunrise another day soon.
Was going for the minimalistic approach here. Fogs sure helps with that. We tend not to have much in the way of dramatic atmosphere in AZ.....bright sun dominates so it was a treat to see the dense fog this morning.
This morning's low fog was pretty shocking to say the least. I have been waiting years for something like this. Typically this type of fog only happens in winter, but for some strange reason it happened in August. This is the foothills of Silicon Valley.
Wishing everyone a great weekend!
Thanks for looking!
Tonight in Quebec, the St-Laurent river valley was filled with fog. What an incredible opportunity to go out and shoot. Too bad it's two week late of the #MistAndFog #FlickrFriday challenge (=
Fog rolling over the Marin Headlands towards Sausalito. Shot from the Tiburon Uplands Nature Preserve.
There was some low fog during the afternoon today. As the sun got lower, I could see on the cams that the bridge was socked in, but it was still sunny in Tiburon, so I tried out this spot. Maybe on the far side from the bridge and city.

This scene appears in my stream a bit because it is what I wake up to - this morning was beautiful, fog, sunrise I thought infrared had to be the choice.
