Taken near Walla Walla WA in the winter. Fog can cover the town for weeks. (most favorited)

The fog didn't seem to bother the duck hunters. Don't think they liked my presence though.

The fog bank created an atmospheric lens and caused a mirage. The 2 lamp posts above the fog bank are on Stoney Trail, 2 km away.

I often shoot this scene in low fog and have for many years long before it became a popular spot. On this day, the emerging green hues and dappled lighting were ample for a nice frame.

4-shot panorama of the one and only Mt. Rainier.

I stood here with a horrible cold, taking time-lapse of the fog for 4 hours before the mountain even came out to play. The fog lifted quickly and I love this first peek of her beauty, still a bit shrouded.

This was the runaway panorama winner on my fb page end-of-year 2018 collections. I will be posting some of the other finalists over the next few days. :D

Thanks for all of the Flickr love in 2018!

I was really annoyed that there was someone on the jetty, I wanted the jetty abandoned in the fog, in retrospect I think the fisherman with his rod and pipe makes it more interesting, I wish I had taken a few more!

Pre dawn shot of my (ex) home town, Stawell in Victoria, Australia. The outline of the Grampians ranges can be seen on the horizon. This was a stitched panorama.

We had several mornings of fog in December, so I have quite a few shots.

Shooting in the fog is one of my favorite times to go out. It's the quiet and the silhouettes the fog creates that draw me out.

It's 52 degrees here today!! The forecast for Sunday is a high of 5!!! Crazy weather.

Another shot from the Richmond Badlands. This one was an access way into a large horse stud. It looked quite nice on the ground but as usual, the fog kind of evaporates when you process the shot so I may have embellished with a bit of graduated fog. Just a subtle bit but it helps.

Heavily processed this one. Its been an interesting challenge trying to replicate the yellows and greens of the dry grass that we saw on the ground.

I think the final product conveys the mood and sense of the place that I tried to capture.

If it is foggy, its worthwhile getting out to the Richmond Lowlands for a shoot.

A great day out with Mike, Stephane, Shane, Colind, Peter and Olga.

A thick layer of fog spilled over the banks of the North Saskatchewan River making this aurora watching night extra impressive.

Any volunteers?

... Lol not really, just thought it needed to sound kinda creepy or scary

I love foggy days! so I definitely had to go out and have a mini photoshoot with Drago. He loved every second of it since it was drizzling and he got to fetch after every couple shots for being such a good model

I'm trying to push myself a bit this year by doing shots outside my comfort zone and also by trying new things.... I had never shot in fog before... I had a hard time with focusing at first cuz the fog was so dense and then today when I was editing, in my opinion a lot of my shots looked too white or foggy ... So I edited some more and ended up with this one... Not sure if I took too much fog away to get the feeling of that moment but I hope not and I hope you guys like it! I got inspired by a couple of beautiful photos I saw on the group, so thank you for being my fog inspiration!

We got some fog on the DXpedition. Not a lot, and it burned off pretty quickly. But it was pretty while it lasted. Hasselblad 500cm, Shanghai GP3 100 (220), Divided D-76 for 5 minutes in each bath.
