The tiny subject measures only 2-inches long by 1-1/4 inch wide. It was shot with my MeiKe 85mm macro on my Sony A6000 using my Godox TTL flashes as you see them, with two slightly different diffusers.

The large chunks are approx. 1 mm in size.

The photo was taken with the NEX 18-55 mm kit lens in reverse position at the 18 mm setting and a set of manual extension tubes.

Orchid. Focus stacked from 6 shots

This is the first successful focus stacking attempt since I attended a stacking course. I found the fly myself and did the shooting and editing in Zerene Stacker. It was fun indeed.

This shot was taken with a Canon 30D and 100mm f2.8 macro lens and macro bellows. It features peas, corn, carrot and turnip.

Seventy individual images were taken all with slightly different focus points and then blended together in a process called Focus-Stacking.

Had a techinical few minutes and tried focus stacking again. Still not totally managed it, as the closest end isn't focused. At least I know why... I was too close. So lesson learned :)

This is a .22 rimfire shot shell. An impossible shot. My 1st real Focus Stacked adventure

Thought I'd try out the new 100mm 2.8 macro lens and a 30-day trial of Zerene focus stacking software. This final image is the compilation of fifteen (15) images. I have a lot to learn, but this could be fun!

Probably a pattern that you cannot end up with when playing Solitaire but used as another of my tests for focus stacking - 13 images this time.

Focus stacked image of a fringed tulip. There is some blurring around some of the outside which I am not sure if the flower moved during the time I was taking slices. The inner fringes and stamen are nicely produced.
