It's a rare morning when it's calm enough to get a sharp image of this delicate flowering grass head. Big Bluestem is a native prairie grass that's especially tall and beautiful in the late summer and fall. Photographed in a restored prairie area in Goose Island County Park, La Crosse County, Wisconsin.

this tree sits proudly on our front lawn... it was here when we bought the house in 1988 and quite large... so now it has be over 45 years old and still gifts us with a beautiful display of pinks!!

There was a large patch of these spectacularly beautiful aquatic plants in one of the ponds in Chester Zoo Nature Reserve.

 

Despite spending a lot of time angling on many water bodies around the country I've never seen them before.

We have this Sedum growing all over... no care needed!!
