Among the evergreen garden shrubs, the Mahonia is, undoubtedly, one of the most unusual and least known. The season in which flowers appear is, generally, winter, although it depends on the region where the plant is located. The flowering persists also until the spring, or else, blooms in autumn and lasts all winter. After flowering, clusters of small blue berries appear on the plant.

Autumnalis Rosea, Winter Flowering Cherry, starting to flower in my garden

My contribution to Colorful Nature with the theme red Monday.

It is wonderful with flowering tulips at home in the garden. It is spring.

Thanks for looking!

On our walk yesterday up around Mount Leinster, the heather was flowering beautifully and added a wonderful pink/purple tinge to the scenic landscape. It was damp with mist hanging in the air and hints of the sun trying to break through. So everything had a glitter about them including this heather flowering.

This leaf was brought to me by a co-worker. I believe it is a flowering dogwood leaf, but I cannot be certain.

Enjoy your weekend. Thx for your visits and favs

On this day at the park, so many trees were overflowing with flowers. A beautiful sight to see. :-) I took 2 cameras with me so I didn't have to change lenses outside. Used the macro lens for this shot to get up close and had a longer reaching lens too. Seems I never finished going thru all the pics either! Gotta make time for that. Anyhoo.. hope you enjoy.

Thanks to all Flickr friends for visiting !!!

Have a sunny day and dreamy night !!!
