Hey guys, what do you think of this amazing lavender field? I was fortunate to have this absolutely stunning weather conditions in the sky. This reminded me why patience is such an important part of landscape photography - I was about to pack up and leave due to the heavy rain that hit me on site, but I was reluctant to go without a single image. And just an hour later I was rewarded with that beautiful last light of the day, that sometimes appears after a summer storm.

Flowerfield Creek is the largest tributary, entering the Rocky River in the middle stretches of St. Joseph County. This coldwater tributary virtually doubles the size of the river.

A one-room school house in Flowerfield Township, St Joseph County, Michigan.
The property was posted "no trespassing," so this was a quick grab from the side of the road, engine running, Kim with knitting needles at the ready. You never know what you'll run into in these rural enclaves.
