Flower Field shots are fun to do on so many levels. There are of course the wide, expansive frames showing colors stretching clear to the horizon. But it is also neat to get down low and place the viewer in right in the middle of the blooms.
Our local flower fields serve as both a tourist attraction and a working farm reliant on hard, manual labor. Sometimes these two worlds intersect in a single frame.
A candid shot of a woman enjoying the beauty of the Carlsbad, CA Flower Fields. I just loved how her outfit coordinated with the colors of the flowers on the hillside.

The emotion: Enigma - Return To Innocence
This is one of my favorite song!
Love, Devotion
Feeling, Emotion
Don't be afraid to be weak
Don't be too proud to be strong
Just look into your heart my friend
That will be the return to yourself
The return to innocence
If you want, then start to laugh
If you must, then start to cry
Be yourself don't hide
Just believe in destiny
Don't care what people say
Just follow your own way
Just believe in destiny.
that's the return to innocence

Matching colors in a scene can add interest and tie a frame together. What attracted me to the scene when I shot it was the match between the flowers and the tractor wheel, but when I got the image on the computer I noticed that every element in the scene, except for the man's hat, was color matched elsewhere in the frame. How many matches can you find? The image is part of my series "Scenes
From the Flower Fields".
