let me tell you what freaks people out... walk out into the middle of a field where it's pitch black without saying anything to anyone then shine a flash light on your face for 3 seconds... turn it off and more and do it again.
It totally looks like i have a floating head, but that is me, in a blanket preparing for a walk into the local forest area!! wooooo!! Campsite looks awesome too.
Sometimes I really love photobooth.
Just playing around. I'm visiting my fambly for the weekend, spending some time with familiar faces. I got a new red hat (that you can't see here) as an early birthday present. I'm more excited than anyone should be about a hat. I just love tiny comforts.
P.S. What is this new "add a person" feature? Feels like facebook. Hmm.
"Floating Heads" installation to be found in Glasgow's Kelvingrove Art Gallery And Museum. Original image cropped a little.
Another Naia paint job. She does wonderfully realistic faceups.
Missing his white wig here, but he is wearing his Masterpiece polymer eyes (Blue Star?).
Although I look a bit like both of my grandfathers, I don't think I'd want a grandad that looks like this.
1. My wonderful summer is over!
2. But I did have a really fun time!
3. Did I remember to lock my diary?
4. What if Mom and Dad find my diary?
5. I'll just deny everything.
6. I'll blame my sister.
This is another variation that I'm trying out. This is for heads with a large neck connection opening.
I'll place a plastic/nylon washer between the wing bolt and the inside of the head.
I took the finial, i.e. the stand, with me to the local hardware store to find the best fitting "washer" weight.
They are sold loose in a bin, I just kept on inserting different sizes in the indention to find the best one. They cost less than $0.20 a piece.
Just epoxy or super glue in place (haven't tried hot glue, but I doubt that would be that stable).
i dyed my hair tonight. it smells good & is really soft and shiny. :]
my mom's friend who dyed my hair gave me this idea. i think it turned out pretty well, minus the fact that my kitchen walls are extremely distracting.
tgif--this week has been one of the worst ever.
Hi! I'm Floating Pantsbot, and this is my friend, Trevor!
(Obviously inspired by Arpy's awesomeness.)
Self portrait by Laine. I really like the floating head concept - it suits him well! There are more but he wouldn't let me post them.

I'm thrilled to bits that his beauty is on her way to me now. I don't have a body that matches the colour, but I hope that problem will sort itself out soon enough!
Mmm, it took me a bit longer but now a Volks pureskin SD10 body is on its way!
Playing with new flash:o)
This is unretouched, except I couldn't resist removing a zip that was spoiling the Holly effect. Nothing else though.
Flash sitting on floor at 2 o'clock, fired wirelessly with IR filter over popup. Ambient is is a tungsten room light. I'm not really ginger. Honest.
W00t W00t! I gots me a branded badge! Took a little bit of schmoozing! Since they didn't list my title on the sheet you fill out to get a replacement badge - no Librarian or Media Specialist - only Teacher, Assistant, Coach, Principal, etc. So on the OTHER line I wrote THAT! Hee Hee! PLUS--- because I was wearing a blue scarf and the background was blue it looks like I have a FLOATING HEAD! AWESOME like Harry Potter fun!
Dollzone msd head (ws Hid) just sitting on the stand. This stand has the larger screw eye (a #12). It fits almost perfectly in the slot, I may not need to secure it further.
Tagged by Emma Ma for her Mina. he's quite happy to meet her when he finally gets a body... (before Vulcan, of course, she doesn't want to meet him, he's a jerk.)
The rule is as follows: HAVE BEEN ALTERED to make it interesting!
1 - Take a picture of your doll in a way that really tells people about their personality!
2 - Tag five friends!!
1. TeaPartyRevoltuion's Sirona
2. Emma_Ma's Mina (for Gallagher)
3. jenink's Sparrow
4. nettle's Amber
5. Uncle Minky's Rachel
End of year show test shot unused image. Based on promotions shot from a 20's film called Pandoras Box. The image its based on bioscopic.files.wordpress.com/2007/08/pandora.jpg this is my personal take. :)

Hugh Leeman is a street artist who puts up striking murals of creased faces full of expression. I've found examples of his distinctive work in San Francisco (though I didn't know who was behind it at the time).
Blog post here. Taken with plungercam mini.
Day Twenty-Five:
Look into my ball and my ball looks back at you. It's staring deep within you. Into the place beyond you. Into the future you. Do you want to know what it knows? It knows. It not only knows but it can tell you too. If you're brave enough to want to know. Do you wish to know more?
Oh, you are a brave soul. Heh, soul. Are you an old one or a new one? Are you recycled from long past or have you newly been plucked from the universe and placed into this meat bag you call a body? We can tell that too. We can look at what you've been. Look far far into the past. Into a life that has been and gone. And in that life, you were....dinner.
Oh my, that is such a coincidence for your future self. That is the future of this current self is teetering upon the crossroads that could lead to the same fate. All it takes is one decision that will tell us whether you live to see tomorrow or you become the dish of the day. What decision do you have to make do you ask? Oh no no no. It's not your decision. It's mine. All I have to decide is one thing.
Am I hungry?
Trying out a bunch of Leeke 8-9" wigs today. They are large; very large cap that sits low, down, on his forehead.
Oddly he looks good in anything.
Face-up: GreyDays (Nai, Naiara)
Eyes: Masterpiece Blue Star(?) polymer
Stand: DIY by me
