Some comparison shots between the original (left) and revival (right) Chesi heads for a friend on DoA
- As said previously, the original head ca relied on a latch and magnet where as the revival uses only magnets. The both also have different ways of settling onto the heads.
This shot was pure luck by mistake or should I say shake... Lol Its one of my favorite shots from the trip. This was taken in the Haunted Mansion ride in Magic Kingdom.
Zardoz is a film released in 1974 and made (directed, written and produced) by John Boorman. Like Ken Russell, Boorman is still making films despite being quite old (Boorman was born in 1933, Russell in 1927. John Boorman has not yet appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, however).
Zardoz is rarely seen on television but is available on DVD and became available on VHS about ten years ago. I think it's a fabulous film, but most people seem to think it's rubbish.
The film is introduced by this, the disembodied head of Arthur Frayn. Arthur Frayn is also Zardoz. (video disabled at Fox's request. I can still see it, but you can't.)
Oh, and he is played by Niall Buggy.
Following yesterday's close-up of the above art by Sophie Cave which is currently on display at Kelvingrove Museum, in Glasgow I thought I would show you a wider shot of these great happy, sad, scary guys!!
Thanks, in advance, to everyone who views this photo, adds a note, leaves a comment and of course BIG thanks to anyone who chooses to favourite my photo .... thanks to you all.
The vinyl triptych of banners forms an optical illusion of a single banner, in a trick that wouldn't work for these banners among columns of any other widths than of these ones' widths.
For this picture, I waited patiently to catch the sunlight at a time of day when it was casting old glory's flapping shadow onto the post office's crown of cinderblocks.

Richard Groom’s ‘floating head’ sculpture. A 27 tonne concrete artwork produced for the 1988 Glasgow garden festival. Now refloated and located in the Clyde again- at the Canting basin, Glasgow.

Went shopping with my sister, my friend, and her coworkers---the WHOLE day. By the end of 80 driven miles, 3 shopping centers, I seriously felt like this...especially after looking over my receipts. Gah!
Well, I was on a mission---I needed some clothes for my upcoming East Coast trip, and from what I hear, the candy-colored floral and beach spring/summer fashion of California sticks out in those NYC streets!
I took the first shot at mall #1, pointed downward from the 2nd floor---thanks to my handy friend-tripod. Then I removed my head from my shoulders and threw it into the air!
Dollzone msd head (ws Hid) just sitting on the stand. This stand has the larger screw eye (a #12). It fits almost perfectly in the slot, I may not need to secure it further.
If he did not have a magnetic head cap, I could just loop an elastic band around the eye hook and through the head cap hook/loop.
Floating Heads installation to be found in Glasgow's Kelvingrove Art Gallery And Museum, Scotland. The heads are lit by cloloured light which is projected from below and changes with time.
This particular head is only truly floating courtesy of Photoshop (the heads are suspended from string or wires in reality)! I took the liberty of carrying out this "adjustment" on the basis that it was in the "spirit" of the original work!
The Floating Heads installation by Sophie Cave can be seen at the Kelvingrove Museum in Glasgow, Scotland. Over 50 heads, each expressing a different emotion, are hung over the museum’s East Court.
"floating" head in that art gallery right at the High Line. Amyone know what it's called? i forget, but want to know for tagging purposes.
I'm so happy that they are back.
Face-ups by Naia. She does such an incredible job and I absolutely love her work. These are heads 4 and 5 that I've sent to her.
Soom Amber, the deer, is white skin and DIM Mnm Nero is regular normal skin.
Nero looks like Nero.
Excuse the missing wigs and Apple's eyes. I'm thinking of trying a few colors now that she's painted.
Floating Heads is a piece of artwork by Scottish artist Sophie Cave. I consists of 50 heads with different facial expressions and is housed in the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum
Decided to try a little something to take a break from editing other things. I must say, the gold side of the reflector is way better than the silver. It's like having a mini magic hour maker. <3
This isn't quite how I envisioned this looking, but it's close enough. I figured as long as the proportions were decently in check, it would be a nice double take.
Happy Friday everyone!
