For Self Portrait Challenge - 'Childhood'
I was only three years old when the original Star Wars was released in 1977, but it played a role in my childhood, so I had to acknowledge it this month for the 'childhood' theme.

Getting thrown around is a big part of a sport called 'Judo'. Shot a practice session today for the Finnish Coaching Federation.
Also known as The Castle, is a Senior Care Center in Clatskanie Oregon... This was taken several years ago on my way to the coast... It is on the National Register of Historical Homes..

The unincorporated town of Mud Lick, Kentucky has a volunteer fire department building that lies adjacent to Mud Lick Flippin Road.
SOOC apart from watermark and crop,have wanted to try and do a flip flop camera rotation in daylight but i think is almost impossible (i'm willing to be corrected though,if i'm wrong ) using bulb mode in full sunlight, without using something like welding glass or maybe a ridiculously overpriced super dark ND filter,so this time of day had to do...

2 Nights ago after an epic thunderstorm, the sky and the sunset were incredible. I dragged my buddy Stephen out and set off for this hay field behind my house. I've got to say when you're standing on top of a hay bale, basking in this beautiful sunset, reflecting and feeling grateful for the earth in all its splendour..Troubles and pain evaporate for that short time. Anyway...Cheers buddy for firing my shutter as I forgot my trigger! Abi xx

so i imagine you'd like to hear the story behind this.
We were cruising around minneapolis, just snapping photos, and hanging out really. I decided this is a pretty cool bridge to get rollers over, because the grainbelt sign is in the background. The sun was harsh, it was kind of hot out. But i took my camera out anyways. We're driving over the bridge, going the speed limit, mind you, and these two women in the car behind Mike's were honking like crazy. Which is why you see Mike flipping them off. I managed to capture this, then the chain of events followed, and i just put my camera inside the car, for fear that they would hit us. Out of nowhere, they swerve into the other lane pull up next to Mike, throw a full soda can at his car, nearly clip our car get into the left turn lane, and cut across 3 lanes of traffic to get back into the right lane...
life must suck if you're that impatient, considering we sat at the redlight over the bridge for a little bit :)
Flippin' eck!! The D4 is a wildlife magnet. Not only has it discovered hitherto unknown species it's now got illusive mammals queuing up to feel the fibre of its fabric.
Countesthorpe, Leicester. Hanging out the passenger window and virtually facing backwards. Stationary of course!
Taken from the same position as my last picture on the beach at Bexhill/ Cooden but compostionally different and with a totally different style.
I intentionally included the pebbles for this shot which in turn pushed the horizon up towards the top third of the screen.
The beacon is slightly lost due to the dark sky but I didn't want to enhance it too much as there would be a big halo around it.

Two's company and three is flippin' awesome as ČD Cargo's 230 084 passes west through Ivanka pri Dunaji on SK 130 with a long train of vans and 742 175 and 230 019 (both DIT).
Ivana, known to all as Ivanka, is the second child and only daughter of Donald Trump and his first wife, also Ivana who was of Czechoslovakian birth. It is not known whether, Ivanka, Donald or Ivana have ever visited the village of Ivanka pri Dunaji but it would be a cool story, maybe they arrived by train?
The phrase (to) "come up trumps" in plain English means to complete a task successfully with a good and unexpected but pleasing result... like this one.
