Flex can be classified as a humanist sans-serif, sharing proportions and structure with typefaces from the Renaissance period. This gives Flex an open and warm appearance. On the other hand has Flex a low contrast, and is devoid of ornamentation and unnecessary details. Each shape in Flex is ‘down to earth’ and drawn in the most logical way possible.
These two aspects combined make Flex a friendly, no-nonsense typeface family.

I first make a divot on the target spot with a center punch. Then, making sure my wrist is supported on something solid, I come down as straight as I can, even though this picture is telling me my flex shaft is not perpendicular to the piece like a drill press would have. 8-o
