TTC's Bombardier Felxity Outlook Streetcar #4401. Toronto Transit Commission's Russell Carhouse, Queen Street East, Toronto. Photo taken during Doors Open, May 24 2014.
This set comes in 4' by 4' squares with changeable inserts for a plethora of design possibility. Shown here with white fabric inserts.
Flexity Outlook #4549 is eastbound on Lake Shore Blvd. W. bound for Humber Loop while operating on the 501 Queen line.
In 2010, Metrolinx ordered 182 Bombardier light rail vehicles for the first four lines of Toronto's new light rail network (formerly Transit City). This order is part of an agreement in the legacy car order for options of up to an additional 400 vehicles.
These cars, known as the Flexity Freedom, differ from the legacy cars as they will have cabs at both ends, have doors on either side, be longer with five modules, and will run on international standard gauge instead of the TTC's standard. The vehicle also boasts a wider body at 2.65 metres.
