Each year, our floating fleet is moved to and from St. Michaels harbor for winter's haven. This is Delaware, heading back to her summer slip.

At Sea, HMCS Athabaskan, off the coast of Norfolk, Virginia
Commodore Pile and Captain Navy McFadden get ready to take a Sea King flight from HMCS Athabaskan to Norfolk, Virginia to attend a meeting and to get ready for the following weeks Fleet Week in New York. Both Commodore Pile and Captain Navy McFadden will be flying to New York later this evening. Captain Navy McFadden will be replacing Commodore Pile and become Commander of Canadian Fleet Atlantic (CCFL). HMCS Athabaskan is on a 3-week deployment.HMCS Athabaskan, HMCS St.Johns and HMCS Halifax will be taking part in a Missile Ex, Fleet Week in New York and will also be joining up with French and American ships for the remainder of the deployment.
