ARABIAN GULF (Sept. 28, 2015) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Andres Ulloa Fernandez signals an Army UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter from the Combat Aviation Brigade, Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 137th Aviation Regiment while conducting deck landing qualifications (DLQs) on the flight deck of Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) as part of an interoperability exercise between the Navy and Army. Essex is the flagship of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, with the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. SATIAWAN, Malaysia (June 19, 2012) U.S. Navy Musician 3rd Class Daniel Weber, lead guitarist for the U.S. 7th Fleet Band's Orient Express, teaches guitar riffs to a student from the Anglo-Chinese School during a band master class. The master class and following rock concert were part of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Malaysia 2012. CARAT is a series of bilateral military exercises between the U.S. Navy and the armed forces of Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. The next set of smaller vehicles for my Rennies model fleet include two 1970s Transit van conversion minibuses - that on the left was a recent ebay win. The Plaxton Beaver model replaces the Western National one I had intended to use. Thanks to 'Quicksilver Coaches' for pointing out there was a roofbox-less version - another ebay win. The Solo has been relieved of its paintwork since last seen

One year post Hurricane Ian the Shrimp Fleet is back to fishing. The fleet was decimated by the Cat 4 hurricane in September 2023.
