Ichigo Heaven is posing for the theme “Getting to Know You” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. I made her dress and hair clip.
I'm not much of a writer but I received these items in part of a prize package I won on Instagram a few months ago. I've decided to use the little notebook to contemplate my day and each evening to write one sentence. Baby steps right?
Hi! Nice to meet you!
If you are like me, a colourful person, you might enjoy this flickr account.
This is a simple colour project that I’m planning to make into a photobook in a year (or whenever I feel finished). To see the colours in the right rainbow order, please look in the rainbow album www.flickr.com/photos/colourproject/albums/72157696282825911
Since this is just a projekt account, to find my other work, please visit www.flickr.com/photos/kajsaeriksson/

I've tried a new recipe from Taiwan... marbled tea eggs... boiled in black tea, soy sauce with bay leaves, a stick of cinnamon, one star anise, salt and sugar... and I love the design on the inside of the eggshells...

I have accumulated many pencils. Because they are soft, they wear down fast, so I have to keep replenishing them. These are merely a few of what I have.
This is how you do the flatlay thing, right? 🤔

Had a moment of “oh snap“ when I got my Instax out and realised it's basically Calpurnia's color scheme

Starting to embrace the pastel babe she is. Slowly 😂

It’s the Doha marathon this weekend. I am running 10km - first time racing this distance. I started big with running and did a marathon as my first ever distance and the training schedule was pretty full on so giving myself a breather before attempting another marathon in May. It’s a new course along the seafront (corniche) and I am quite looking forward to finishing and cheering on the longer distances.
Hey—no peeking!
This Blythe doll is Simply Mango, posing for the theme “Rainbows” (nope, not party!) in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. I’ve done several rainbow-themed doll pictures in the past, and I wanted to do something different. This cute piñata that I had sitting in my doll room was the answer! I picked it up at Target months ago without a plan for it, and it really came in handy. The background of this picture is a chalkboard. I snipped up colored paper for the confetti.
These 13th century floor tiles form part of the largest surviving spread of medieval decorated floor tiles inside any building in England. The tiles where they were first laid, in the Retrochoir at the far end of the Cathedral.
Visitors were asked to walk on them with care.
Life is so different right now and like everyone else there are people, activities, common things that we miss greatly. When I start to feel down, I get my strength from thinking about my Mom and what she endured when she contracted tuberculosis in 1950. At the time there were no drugs to treat TB, the only treatment was bedrest and isolation at the state sanitorium which was 400 miles from my parent's farm. My brother and sister; ages 7 and 4, lived with my grandparents for a year. My father left the farm and took a job near the sanitorium to be with my mother. When the year was up and my mother was able to come home, she then had to be on bedrest for another year at home. My mother recovered and I was born at the end of 1958; hence quite an age difference between me and my siblings.
This flat lay contains a cross-stitch picture for the backdrop (my Mom must have made dozens of cross-stitch pictures, growing up I saw different cross-stitched pictures hanging in the homes of all of our relatives' and close friends'), a photo of my Mom when she came home from Sanator, a photo of my brother and sister during this time, my first Bible (my brother has my Mom's very worn Bible from this time) and a photo of the sanitorium (Sanitor).
A two for the price of one today! I love books and I love coffee ice cream. I'm taking my time reading the Unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath...I find her a great inspiration for my poetry. :o)

NATIONAL READ A BOOK DAY
National Read A Book Day is observed annually on September 6th. On August 9th, we all celebrated National Book Lovers Day. While these bookish days may seem similar, National Read a Book Day invites us ALL to grab a book we might enjoy and spend the day reading.
Don’t keep it to yourself. Share the experience! Read aloud either to children or to grandparents. Read to your pets or to your stuffed animals and plants.
Reading improves memory and concentration as well as reduces stress. Older adults who spend time reading show a slower cognitive decline and tend to participate in more mentally stimulating activities over their lifetime. Books are an inexpensive entertainment, education and time machine, too!
Featured Books –
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott – Set during Civil War, Little Women follows the life of the March family. Loosely based on Alcott’s life, she cast herself as talented Jo March.
David Copperfield by Charles Dickens – David Copperfield tells the story of a young boy’s life as he struggles to become a writer. From an abusive start and many trials, the author relays the memories of his life.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling – The 7th book in the Harry Potter series brings Harry, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger back to Hogwarts for a final standoff with Voldemort and his Deatheaters.

NATIONAL COFFEE ICE CREAM DAY
If you are a coffee lover and a lover of ice cream, then this is the food holiday you look forward to every year. National Coffee Ice Cream Day is observed annually on September 6th.
This creamy and caffeinated ice cream treat is sure to satisfy your taste buds. There are those that are not a fan of cold coffee. However, when it is whipped with cream and sugar, it takes on a magical taste of its own.
Coffee ice cream has been around for many years. In 1869, coffee ice cream was used in a parfait and a recipe appeared in a 1919 cookbook for an Egg Coffee, consisting of cream, crushed ice and coffee syrup.
According to Foodtimeline.org, coffee ice cream has been a standard flavor on the Howard Johnson’s restaurant menu since at least the 1960′s, along with vanilla, chocolate, banana, macaroon, and coconut.
