I tried getting images of the vastness of this lake...it is so huge! I believe that is Wild Horse Island off to the right...there is a huge mansion out there too! I think it is the only structure out there but I may be wrong! Never made it out to the islands in my years of living there!
Have a wonderful day everyone....we're getting ready for a thunderstorm over here...hit 80 today!!! Wow...hot! :)
This was taken along the Flathead Lake near Somers, Montana. This was in archives...don't know why I hadn't posted it.....lol :) Best viewed in large!
Have a nice weekend everyone!
Located in the northwest corner of the state of Montana, 7 miles (11 km) south of Kalispell, it is approximately 30 miles (50 km) long and 16 miles (25 km) wide, covering 191.5 square miles (495.9 km²), making it approximate in size to Minnesota's Mille Lacs Lake and half the area of San Francisco Bay (main bay). Flathead Lake is 30 miles (48 km) southwest of Glacier National Park and is flanked by two scenic highways, which wind along its curving shoreline. On the west side is U.S. Route 93, and on the east, is Route 35.

This beautiful flathead was seen in a 1950 Ford. I was so enamored with the engine that I forgot to take a photo of the car.
After getting up early - with minimal amounts of sleep for the 3rd day in a row on our big mountain snowboarding trip - we started heading home early in the morning only to be graced by a beautiful dark orange sunrise over flathead lake. We found a private pier and enjoyed the spectacular scene for a half hour. This is one of many shots I like..
A relative of a relative has this truck on their farm. It is really solid and restorable, ran when parked. I'm not supposed to divulge the location, but I'm sure my phone has done that.
This is a scene taken near Kalispell, MT. The mountains across the lake are the Mission Mountains. I wish the sun would have been shining...these images would be so much prettier! Oh well...it's ok! Have a nice evening everyone. Sam will be home tonight...I'm glad as I do not like being alone! :)
Built in 1891 of locally-sourced brick, this Gothic Revival-style church features colorful stained glass windows, a circular rose window, a tower with an open wooden belfry, extensive brick corbeling, and a small glass addition on the south side. St. Richard’s was the first church built in the Northwestern portion of Montana. The building served as the first school in Columbia Falls, before a purpose-built school was built nearby. The building continued to serve the congregation until the mid-20th Century, when it became inadequate due to the growth of the congregation spurred by the growth of the town, and moved to a new church at the corner of 9th Street West and 12th Avenue West, which it continues to occupy. The building was saved from demolition and adaptively reused, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
A Flathead from Cyberpunk 2077. A lot of Bricklink U-Clips and Monopods will have to be used for this one :)

Very photogenic barn in the Mission Valley. Lovely sky just starting to go, but I was in a hurry to get to GNP and get camp set up before it got too dark. In retrospect, I should have stayed here and got what was probably an outstanding sunset. Sometimes we get blinders on, no?
