The Flatbed series were taken of the surface of a flatbed trailer delivering tile shingles for a re-roofing project of a next door neighbor.
Well, my day suddenly looked better when I saw this. Better than whoever owns the vehicle on the back of this flatbed, anyway.
I saw this on my way home I was (am) pretty beat, and at first glance I thought they had repo'd an SUV and taken it right to the bank.
And just for the record, I have no idea if the SUV is being repo'd, if it's broken or if it's just going for a piggy-back ride.

Take away the slightly bulbous front grille and you have a very Scania-esque looking truck. Not that Matchbox would ever admit to such things of course, their new MBX Flatbed King is technically generic and to be honest one of their best in a long time! Taking the very Eurocentric style cab first used on the 2006 Cement Mixer casting and using it here is pretty inspired and works very very well with its new car transporting rear end. And yes it does fit an average 1/64 diecast on the back, simply slide the blue plastic bed backwards, tilt for driving up and slide again for extra length. Simple but gives this model extra play value which is a concept largely missing from Mattel at this end of the market!

Chugging through the roads of Beamish Museum is this splendidly restored Karrier flatbed truck of 1926, registered WU 6854.
The truck was at Beamish as part of the Great North Steam Fair of 2017.

Heavy duty flatdeck trolley with RHS support frame, enclosed handle area, tray below handle, pneumatic castors, structural ply top. Note the floor lock mechanism between the two swivel castors - when the pedal is depressed it extends an articulated foot pad onto the ground, raising the swivel castors off the ground by 3-5mm. It is possibly the most effective form of brake for a trolley.
