Here is my version of the flat demolition, it did take a while after 11am for them to come down and I had to stop and start recording again so this is the last video I have when they do come down.
The birds kept going back in after the warning alarm. I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it but when it did happen as you can see in this video, I wasn't ready for it at all. It was very emotional and quite sad to see them come down like that, I know they are an eyesore but it was just all the waiting and then that's it.
There was a gust of wind just before they came down and my battery of my phone which was charged all night went right down to critically low which made me think there might have been some paranormal activity.
Also the way the wind was swept the other way as you cant really see on this video but other video's on YouTube was a bit weird.
Anyway thought i'd add a comment to this as it was the very first time i've ever experienced this in person. It is definately a different experience being there than watching it online even watching this back it seems different to how I saw it in person.

One of the ones as promised yesterday - improved and ready to go. Couldn't have wished for stiller water... Would like to say this is a travesty of a property development and I remember when all this was fields, but truthfully I remember when all this was rubble. Still it was a big heap of rubble I had much affection for as a kid, and I was sad to see it get built on in a wierd kinda way.
(For those who saw it, these are the flats that gave me the funky orange reflection on this swan photo.)

For Eric's birthday this year, we decided to stay in a hotel overnight in Wendover. On our way then, we decided to stop off at the Bonneville Salt Flats where we played around for a bit before heading to our hotel.

On my way back from White Heath, IL I got a flat on the front tire, 15 miles from home. Fortunately I had a spare tube and 2 C02 cartridges.
