Unusual to see a pair of 66/4s on this working, but even more strange to see them in t/t mode. 66426 with 66434 at rear pass through Churchdown with 6M63 1158 Bridgwater to Crewe nuclear flasks. 4th January 2017.

68034 and 68004 are seen between Crawford and Elvanfoot with the 6M50 Torness - Carlisle Kingmoor flasks.

Eight axle, flask transporter KXA-C 96904 loaded with a TN28VT flask stands alongside the Cavendish Dock, Barrow-in-Furness on 8 November 2013. The wagon - the consist of 7X23 the 0932 Sellafield - Barrow Ramsden Dock is sandwiched between 37611 and 37609.

PNTL ships, Pacific Grebe, Pacific Egret and Pacific Heron can be seen berthed at Ramsden Dock, and three corvettes destined for the Indonesian Navy can be seen on the right.

Took a picture of an old flask that hadn't been used in years, which is evident by a bit of the dust and dirt. I love the heavy metallic tones, which really seem to compliment the bit of intense, reflected reds.

Direct Rail Services' Class 68, 68016 "Fearless" leads sister locomotive 68003 "Astute" as they rumble north through Acton Bridge with three FNA nuclear waste flasks on 6C53 06:25 Crewe Coal Sidings to Sellafield BNFL.

Having recently returned to traffic, 37069 leads 37259 with 6M63 11:58 Bridgewater CEGB - Crewe Coal Sdgs. nuclear flask through Parson Street on 06/10/2016.

While waiting between services there was a added bonus of a flask train running this week unfortunately it was more loco than wagons. This is 66301 & 37609 at Derwent park, Workington on the early running 0849 Sellafield - Crewe coal sidings via Carlisle 30/5/15.

I bought this wonderful flask in an antique shop. 19th c. ? for brandy?

DRS 37087 & 37688 were not being taxed by the single flask forming the payload of the 6M67 from Bridgwater to Crewe when recorded at Stoke Works in April 2009.

In beautiful morning sunshine on the last day of February 2017, a pair of DRS 37's pass Newcraighall Station.

Allelys Heavy Haulage DAF XF tractor unit gets ready for departure from Crewe Heritage Centre with one of two French super flask carriers brought through the tunnel a few years back. The wagons have been stored in Crewe Coal Sidings during this time until the decision was reached that they are surplus to requirements thus sent by road to Booths scrap yard for cutting up.

Warren, Connecticut. I've now done some more testing of the Canon 200mm f/2.8 L lens vs. the Canon 135mm f/2 L lens plus Canon 1.4x extender and while there are some differences, they're not enough to warrant buying the 200mm lens (which is a great deal).

When you add the extender to the 135mm f/2 lens you get a 189mm f/2.8 combination. Not quite 200mm but the same speed. While my tests are informal I'm happy with both the sharpness, color, bokeh and handling of the 135 and extender. Is the 200mm better? Probably, but not enough to warrant buying it in addition to the 135.

I like the shape of chemistry glassware and I'm going to order some more to use as subjects for photographs.

Mark Darragh sked me if I had ever photographed the Road Transport used to move Magnox Nuclear Flasks at the railheads . sadly not. Whenever I was at a railhead Cameras were strictly verboten.

A few years ago someone sent me a couple of photos of an early CEGB trailer at a railhead. Originaly taken by Trefor Davies who I've been trying to find to see what else he had photoed., it appears the flask just sat on the trailer with no flask guides fitted to keep it in place

DRS 37259 37611 haul a Bridgwater F.D. to Crewe Coal Sidings (Drs) nuclear flask near Wrinehill, Staffs, almost 2 hours early. 28th February 2014.

A rare sight through Hartford as Direct Rail Services move a KUA nuclear flask through Hartford running as 6Z29 17:52 Kineton MoD to Kingmoor Siding. This was the return working of a move south from Glen Douglas a few days previously.

The flask - designed to convey high-level radioactive waste or weapons-grade nuclear material - was flanked by two modified Mk2e BSO escort vehicles.

Direct Rail Services Class 57s 57306 "Her Majesty's Railway Inspectorate 175" and 57301 "Goliath" are seen at a rather green-looking corner of the Black Country (aka Old Hill) with the 15:49 Berkeley C.E.G.B to Crewe Coal sidings (Drs) nuclear flask. Whenever the blue container flasks are used (as opposed to the FNAs that usually appear on Bridgwater workings) on Oldbury power station jobs, they have to be pathed via Stourbridge due to gauging issues at Moseley Tunnel.

DRS Class 88s (do they have a nickname yet ?) 88006 Juno and 88009 Diana cross the main road at St Bees and enter the station with 6C22, the 07:27 Carlisle Kingmoor - Sellafield BNF nuclear flasks

Just some more water drops.

Hope you enjoy them.

Thanks for looking and constructive criticism is always welcome.
