This is my longest exposure to date - about 3 minutes. The light is from the moon plus I augmented it a bit by walking down the path with my flashlight during the exposure.

Lit by an LED flashlight from below. I don't know why, it just seemed the thing to do.

Same flower as the previous photo, lit from below with a flashlight. Looks like a jellyfish.

I picked up a pair of mini-flashlights to light tabletop photography - which I loved - but I didn't have a good way to hold them.

When I posed the problem to Hubby he came through with a "U"-shaped piece that screws onto the top of my mini-tripods and is just the right size to hold the flashlight.

Perfect!

I saw txkimmers' set " Fun with Flashlights ",so took this photo for test. It's really fun!

I'm taking a break from Flickr in general, but I didn't want to miss my post for this week's 52 Weeks for Dogs. I kept this one private, so only 52 Week's members can see it.

For the photo, I decided to do something unusual this week. I took Wookie into the windowless bathroom and lit him with only a flashlight. I'm not sure how I feel about the results, (Wookie looks nearly earless!). It was worth a try though! :-)

The theme for the Chalkfox SP Challenge was "Flashlight/Mirror" so in this one, of two, I'm obviously being very literal about it. The half-tone was added to make give the image a more graphic direction, to give it a bit of a quirky nudge.

I noticed in the text at the very, very bottom of the group's main page that it is possible to submit 2 pics a month, so I am going to take advantage of that and use both photos I've done. I couldn't make up my mind.

This is The Town of Calico, a wonderful build, with incredible atmosphere and, arming myself with a flashlight, using the regions environment settings and cranking the volume up, it is already giving me the shivers.

Despite being such a wonderful place already, the sim's owner, Dax (iDakotaPawz) tells me that they are quite a way off finishing the project. It is set to be an immersive, fully-interactive environment with quests, goals, gameplay elements and storylines that either the player can make up for themselves, and/or creator-based gameplay that will be included in the game itself. It will have a HUD specifically designed for gameplay, custom-created for the player that will allow them to fully interact with hundreds of elements and objects within the sim itself.

I wanted to create this image to highlight the importance of atmosphere, and enjoying places as the creator's intended; after exploring for a while, using my own moody windlight settings I discovered the regions own enviromental settings, and with a click of my mouse, I was plunged into an entirely different world.

Definitely one to watch!

At 100 feet on a vertical wall at night, my buddy and I turned off our dive lights and scanned the millions of bioluminescent lights for pairs that moved in unison... that would be a flashlight fish! Approaching with lights still off until I was very close I suddenly stunned the light sensitive fish with my lights, caught it in my left hand as it made for a hole in the reef and shot with right hand. It cuddled into my hand as if it found some sense of safety there. Flashlight fish are very rarely seen by divers due to their nocturnal behavior and habitat. Not many divers want to turn off their flashlights at 100 feet, on a vertical wall that drops to 6,000 feet, in the middle of the night. It's kinda spooky. Shot on film back in the day and scanned.

messing about with flashlight photography

UV-Flashlight Lumen photogram, in some variations using Agfa Multigrade 10x15 cm pieces of paper

Exposure very short about 1 minute by tracing the object

The red color is because I wetted the paper and washed with handsoap exposed wet.

Reasoning is that there may be some developer in the paper present already when alkaline and wet it should darken the paper while exposing, and that is the case it is getting to a chocolate brown very quick ie needs very little exposure.
