For the basic setup, I placed the camera in front of the kitchen faucet, and opened the faucet until it dripped every second or so. To stop the motion as crisply as possible, I used an off camera flash as the main lighting: Because the flash is so very fast (1/10,000 of a second), it tends to freeze the motion of the water, making for a more crisp shot.
I wanted a background that would look good in black and white (i.e. something simple), so I printed "H2O" onto a piece of paper, placed behind the faucet. If you focus "through" the water, the drops act as a lens, allowing you to see the background through the water.
Once I had everything set up, it was mostly a matter of taking a bunch of shots (100 or so?) until I got the timing right, and a "pretty" looking drop.
18:15 train leaving Grange for Barrow. Just heading back from a walk along the prom at grange when the train was just leaving the station, just managed to get a couple of hand held shots with the help a of a fence post.

Portrait and bundled flash testing.
Running out of ideas under this strict lockdown I decided to test bundled flash (FL-LM3) in order to know its capabilities (no diffuser and no bouncing).
GN is 12.7 at ISO 200 but increasing 1 stop (flash compensation) looks much better (then it stays around GN 10).
Sorry but no models available so had to use last resort: myself ;-)

Okay so this was my first attempt at recreating a cover and to be honest, it wasn't too much of a challenge besides altering the eye glow a bit to match the presence of the cover.
I don't know if I honestly like the look of this one or not (like compared to the rest of my work), but to be fair it's pretty spot on to the original.
This bee is visiting my catmint plant. I haven't seen very many bees in my backyard this year. I hope they're getting ready to come out soon.

I bought an octobox to get rounder catchlights in dogs eyes. Doesn't help when the dog looks crosseyed! To be fair he was focussing on an incoming biscuit!
