Are you climbing a peak or a pass in Nepal? Guess what is the easiest way to know you reached your destination... Prayer flags! They are in 5 colours - blue, green, white, yellow and red - symbolizing elements and they are put there to bless the surroundings.
Here we are on the Kongma La pass. And I saw these flags from afar. It didn't really help... In the background - you can see a few Nepalese hills...
Happy Sunday everyone!

Went to a party at a friends house last weekend at their beach house on Puget Sound. Their flag was flying in the breeze.
I know this one is too burned out by the sun, but I liked the idea of the flag with the smoke background. I saw it on Rt 47 coming home tonight.
With the Spanish flag flying proudly and witnessed by a large crowd, a full size replica of Spanish Galleon 'Andalucía' sails through Tower Bridge to mark the start of a visit to London. The 2009 built replica, which is modelled on the Spanish cargo ships of the 16th Century, will be in St Katherine's Dock until 6th October for people to visit. 'Andalucia' was built to the original 1500s design, but with all the modern requirements of today.
I took this shot of the U.S. flag earlier today at the Virginia Department of Transportation Workers' Memorial, located at a scenic overlook just off I-64 near the Nelson/Albemarle County border. The area looked especially nice with the flowers in bloom. The memorial, which honors VDOT workers who died while performing their jobs, is out of view to the left of the flag, with the Virginia state flag to its left.
