Turks and Caicos is an archipelago of 40 low-lying coral islands in the Atlantic Ocean, a British Overseas Territory southeast of the Bahamas. The gateway island of Providenciales, known as Provo, is home to expansive Grace Bay Beach, with luxury resorts, shops and restaurants. Scuba-diving sites include a 14-mile barrier reef on Provo’s north shore and a dramatic 2,134m underwater wall off Grand Turk island.

These flags are placed in the wind to ensure peace and wisdom, and if a prayer is answered, a flag is placed there. The flags run across the bridge by the Tiger enclosure in the Jungle Trek. Bright colours, lots to stare at for little people.

This is the VA burial flag given to my family after the death of my grandfather, Glenis V. Crow, who served as a Seaman 1st Class in the US Navy during WWII. He was an aircraft gunner, and was a crew member of the fleet tanker Neches, which was present in Tokyo Harbor for the signing of the peace treaty ending WWII. The photo is my grandparents just before my grandpa went overseas.

Somebody had to sit down and draw the national flag; I wonder who that was. A committee, maybe.

My father passed away 15 December 2010. The flag is what the Army gave us. Dad's good buddy that served with him found the case and organized all of Dad's relevant medals and patches.
