Remembrance Sunday. A simple, poignant memorial to a young life lost in the wastelands of Afghanistan.
Photographed at the National Memorial Arboretum, Staffordshire, England.
“When you go home
Tell them of us and say
‘For your tomorrow
We gave our today’.”

The northernmost of Thailand ends with a road and a bridge over to Myanmar (Mae Sai border checkpoint).
I’ve been to two land border crossings and both times they aren’t as flashy or comfortable as an airport, but with a lot less hassle.

I think that the U.S. flag is just gorgeous. I love it. I think all flags of the world are wonderful. We should all be proud of our flag and country.

*About "On This Day"*
I have way too many photos in my catalogue that never get seen, and for a while now I've wanted a way to bring out some photos that I never did anything with at the time I shot them. So, to keep them from gathering digital dust, I've decided to start a kind of "On This Day.." project with my Flickr, where I will (If I remember) edit and post photos from this day in the past, that wouldn't have otherwise seen the light of day.
I figured, since I'm always wanting other people and archives to post more of their unseen work, why not start with myself?
