The flag of Canada, often referred to as the Canadian flag, or unofficially as the Maple Leaf and l'Unifolié (French for "the one-leafed"), is a national flag consisting of a red field with a white square at its centre in the ratio of 1:2:1, in the middle of which is featured a stylized, red, 11-pointed maple leaf charged in the centre.[1] It is the first ever specified by law for use as the country's national flag.

"Knowing that intercessory prayer is our mightiest weapon
and the supreme call for all Christians today, I pleadingly urge
our people everywhere to pray...Let us pray for our nation. Let
us pray for those who have never known Jesus Christ and
redeeming love, for moral forces everywhere, for our national
leader. Let prayer be our passion. Let prayer be our pratice.

fluttering Union flag in the stiff breeze on the roof otf the National Gallery of Scotland, a bright spring evening backlighting it. Of course if the upcoming vote on leaving the union after 300 years comes down on the independence side of the fence then flags like this would vanish from Edinburgh's buildings and leave only the Saltires flying.
