Within a few days of this photo being taken, someone tore the flags down.
Representing the countries of note to the resort. From right. Argentina (many many of our fellow guests were Argentinian, and better companions you couldn't possibly hope for), Spain (the Sol company's home country), Cuba, Canada, Italy (frequent guests although not this time) and it looks like Yugoslavia? Which doesn't even exist anymore and whose significance has me completely baffled.
went for a walk today, at first i was upset cause it was so windy out, that i was having trouble getting good shots, then i realized something, everywhere i looded there were flags waving in the wind, and what better day to see flags waving proudly in the wind then on Sept 11...

I wanted to see how small I could make it now! The only parts that are not attatched are the 2 cheese slopes on the bottom right and bottom left, and the cheese slopes that would fit in the gaps.
I don't know how this would end up looking with all the cheese slopes placed, since LDD doesn't let me tile cheese. Hopefully it looks alright.
I again had to put extra plates on the bottom left and top right quarters, but this time in the vertical direction, thanks to units fuckery. The back of the flag is a mess, but should hold it all together.

Well, color me confused and embarrassed. I guess that I am officially in that phase of my life where others (and even myself) may question my mental faculties … and, obviously, for good reason. You see, almost two weeks ago, the number B4 was drawn in my Flickr Bingo 2 group. This number is to be illustrated by images of flags. Every day, I’d go into the group and see photos of flags. I’d think to myself, “That’s an easy shot, too bad I don’t have it.”
:::Note: This is the embarrassing part::: [self-conscious laugh] Well, it seems that, when we got to choose our own numbers for our cards, I DID pick this number because it was an “easy” one. You’d think I’d check the darned card to see if it was on there, wouldn’t you? I mean, that would have been the most logical way of doing it instead of relying on my memory. Oh! Well! Maybe it’s time to up that dosage of my Aricept.
Anyway … Here is my belated official entry into Week 7’s assignment for Flickr Bingo 2.
Flag pole was erected in 2003 as the tallest one in the world at a height of 126.8 meters. The flag, which measures 60m by 30m, was raised on June 10, 2003 to celebrate the Grat Arab Revolt and Jordanian Army Day

From september 16th to september 29th, I went to south Peru with some friends. A nice trip that I'm going to experience again with pictures in the next days. Let's go for a second trip!

Flag Protocol: When used on a speaker's platform, the flag, if displayed flat, should be displayed above and behind the speaker. When displayed from a staff in a church or public auditorium, the flag of the United States of America should hold the position of superior prominence, in advance of the audience, and in the position of honor at the clergyman's or speaker's right as he faces the audience. Approximately 7,000 flags are on display on Art Hill in Forest Park, St. Louis. Each flag features the name and photo of a fallen service member who lost their life fighting the War on Terror since September 11, 2001. Along with the flags honoring our fallen heroes, there is also a single flag on the top of the hill with the names of all 2,996 victims on it in remembrance of those lost on 9/11.

This day was even grayer, windier, and colder than the day before. My wife decided not to even get out of the car. We stuck around for a few hours but no B-1s so we decided to head out since we had a long drive to El Centro, CA.
