Probably the best photo I took in New York was of this drinking fountain. I have photgraphed many since, but none turned out this well.

I think NYC just has better drinking fountains. They should mention that in tourism brochures.

A picture of a light fixture. I was interested in the light fall-off and shadows. With this crop, the circular feature and shadows resemble the head of a cartoon bug.

This fixture came from the third floor, and also had an antique brass finish underneath the white paint.

No tricks here-- this is a direct positive taken from my RAW file. The lap fixture is kind of greenish, but under warm light it took on a natural sepia/split tone look. I liked the detail here...I'm a sucker for interesting lights.

We put this fixture in the kitchen to replace the little dome type fixture with gold trim that was there.

You can also see that we painted the cabinets white there in the background.

I love how the area had a lot of red!
