This fixture has been an adornment in our front yard (garden) for over two decades, and has served me well in bettering my photography skills.

The South Coast Derby between Portsmouth and Southampton football clubs is a hot potato in the fixture list as the fans from both clubs do not see eye to eye (to put it mildly). Today (14/09/2025) was the first league meeting between the bitter rivals since 2013 with the movement of away fans strictly controlled. For Portsmouth's visit to Southampton this involved travel only by organised buses running in convoy under police escort from 3 locations. In total, 23 Xelabus vehicles were used plus others from Lucketts, Readybus, Wheelers and Horseman. I caught 2 of the convoys from a bridge over the M27 some 3 hours before kick-off. And the game finished 0-0!
Trinidad is a town in the province of Sancti Spíritus, central Cuba. Together with the nearby Valle de los Ingenios, it has been one of UNESCOs World Heritage sites since 1988.
Trinidad was founded on December 23, 1514 by Diego Velázquez de Cuéllar under the name Villa de la Santísima Trinidad.
Hernán Cortés recruited men for his expedition from Juan de Grijalva's home in Trinidad, and Sancti Spiritus, at the start of his 1518 expedition. This included Pedro de Alvarado and his five brothers. After ten days, Cortes sailed, the alcayde Francisco Verdugo failing to prevent Cortes from leaving, despite orders from Diego Velazquez.
Francisco Iznaga, a rich Basque landowner in the southern portion of Cuba during the first 30 years of the colonization of Cuba, was elected Mayor of Bayamo in 1540. Iznaga was the originator of a powerful lineage that finally settled in Trinidad where the Torre Iznaga is. His descendents fought for the Independence of Cuba and the Annexation to the US from 1820 to 1900. It is one of the best preserved cities in the Caribbean from the time when the sugar trade was the main industry in the region.

One of those picturesque small colonial towns and being not far from Havana, Trinidad is a fixture on the travel itinerary of many - it's vibrant in the evenings and offers a lot to do in and around it as part of shorter day trips.
Empty racks and shelving such as seen here were starting to pile up in a few areas of the store. Perhaps they were just a bit late in getting the fixture sale going for whatever reason. Or as proposed before, all the fixtures had already been spoken for in this particular closing Kmart location.

I would think this unusual shelf/display piece went pretty quickly once it got a fixture sale sticker slapped on it. Wouldn't mind owning this myself, though I have no clue what I would do with it!

This is the midway point in the laerdal tunnel, the 24,5 kilometers long tunnel has 3 of these colored caves. They are designed to break up the mind numbing monotony that sets in during the 20 minute drive, the other two are blue. The rooms are truly astounding, beautifully lit, and the acoustics are just plain freaky. I wanted to make a 360 pano, but standing in the middle of the road with a tripod just seemed like a very bad idea..
From wiki: "Construction started in 1995 and was completed in 2000, thus succeeding the Gotthard Road Tunnel as the longest road tunnel in the world. The tunnel is a part of the E16 main route between Oslo and Bergen."
Note : Hope the color is correct here, it looked way to green in firefox, so i had to mess around with the colorprofile. This one is uploaded as adobe rgb, looks ok in safari and firefox on my imac now. I am also unsure if i should crop more of the ceiling, any thoughts?
The LCoF theme is hands. Not easy trying it as a selfie, single handedly, with a camera phone. I think I like the “bird in the hand” one better.
This is currently every shopko fixture i own i still need to get pictures of the gold baskets and the 2 black baskets

WEEK 13 – Wolfchase Sears Closing, Set IV (LL)
In contrast, here’s a closer look from within that cluttered jungle of Sears fixtures across the way. While some stuff over here did indeed have fixture sale stickers on it (such as those clothing racks in the foreground), I got the impression – from the scattered nature of various component parts stuffed into carts and bins – that much of the stuff over here wasn’t quite ready for sale just yet. That said, there’s a chance I’m wrong… who knows!

These places are public so these photos are too, but just as I tell where they came from, I'd appreciate if you'd say who :)
Another ubiquitous fixture in Lisbon (an in Portugal in general, based on a highly representative sample of two cities): grilled chessnuts.

Our first view of the hallowed turf. This was the second time I had been to a game - I managed to go on a previous visit back in 2001 at the start of the season. It was a cold night that time when we watched the Angels. Not so this time - it was so hot we didn't quite know what to do with ourselves!
We had more than an hour to go before rivalries commenced - plenty of time to walk all round the stadium
The opening of the Mount Baker Theatre in 1927 showed Fox West Coast Theatres' confidence in Bellingham because even by 1914 there were more than a dozen vaudeville houses in town serving a population of just 35,000.
In 1978 it was put on The National Register Of Historic Places and its restoration was completed in 1996. It is owned by the city of Bellingham and operated by a registered not-for-profit corporation.
Tours are available and don't forget to check out the ghost stories on their web site!

WEEK 3 – Memphis Kmart Closing, II
I browsed through the fixtures some, taking pictures as I went along, which is why these may seem slightly all over the place, haha! (Unusual for me, I'm actually uploading these in the order they were taken instead of arranging them into something more presentable.) Anyway, as I neared the back of the fixture sale area, I noticed the meat service department was also visible, way off in the back here. Also in this shot, you can see on the left edge the area I was able to get these pics from last time from.
