Sometimes the light and tidal conditions come together in magical proportions and such was the case on this day.
Don't know about making hay or fixing roofs while the sun shines, I think taking photographs could be added to that list as well!
There was however, one fly in the proverbial ointment, well actually there was a biblical swarm of them! Driving along the coast road towards Seaburn it sounded like it was raining, except that there was hardly a cloud in the sky and there was no raindrops on the car windscreen. It was only when I got out and headed down to the beach that I realised the 'rain' was in fact flies, and lots of them. Never encountered the like of it before. Neither di it appear to be a local event either as a friend of mine, who lives down the coast on Hartlepool Headland, reported similar.
Thought it was funny, as I'm sure you can all relate. These signs can we up all summer before repairing the bumps.
My friend Rochelle took my picture with my Olympus film camera. The quality is not the greatest. But I like it. I added a little texture to it. But other than that I didn't do much else.

I don't know if many other people are experiencing this, but both my Anna and Elsa dolls came out of the box with really, really bent legs. I've had this trouble before, so I've developed a way of fixing them: if you're not sure how to do it, then here's how.
1) Press the legs into the straight position you want. You then need to use colourless elastic bands to keep them 'splinted' into position. (It's very important to use colourless elastic bands, as otherwise the colour may transfer to the legs themselves. I used the bands that kept these particular dolls in the box, but I've used clear loom band-type ones before.)
2) Once your legs are splinted, you need to stand the doll in a reasonably sturdy glass or jar, then pour boiling water over the legs, to about an inch below the hip joint (mid thigh, basically). Keep them there for about five minutes, then take the doll out carefully and hold the legs in cold water to 'set' the new leg position. Dry off your doll.
3) Take your elastic bands off, and voilà! There you have it: nice straight legs. (You do get a slight dent in the vinyl where the bands lie on the legs, but frankly, I can deal with them when compared to the bandiness of the legs the way they were to start with.)
Tested on the Main Grid. I have to play with my weighting to fix some SL pulls and hyper-extended warps.

This was a hard theme for me. As some of you know I am very passionate about toys. It was very hard to figure out what to shoot for this week challenge and narrow down my choices. I end up doing the 2 things I like: a. Shooting woody and trying an unique approach! Did I succeed? You’ll be the judge.

All that's missing is a junkyard dog on a chain. Up on cribbing on a weed choked track, this RS11 is near the end of it's life in 2002. Built for the Northern Pacific in 1960, some BN green is showing through, but it's obvious it's going nowhere fast. This and another RS11 were sold for scrap in 2004.
This is my young cousin. As Independence day (14 August) was nearing, he accidentally got one of the lights disconnected from the wiring so he decided to fix it himself. I found the perfect opportunity to take his picture while the sunlight fell on him. The lights didn't worked but he helped my brother in placing a flag over our rooftop. Children are such blessings of Allah.
So Nosherwan is a name of arabic origin. It was a name of a Persian king.
Stay blessed.
When you try your best but you don't succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse.
And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
And high up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try you'll never know
"Just what you worth"
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
Tears stream, down on your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down your face and I...
Tears stream, down on your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down your face and I...
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you.

The windows on unused barns are often the first thing that gets broken, either through neglect or vandalism by visiting city cousins. Decisions to keep up with repairs on an aging barn are often made by default. Usefulness, even with our own bodies, many times dictates what gets repaired or ignored.

On a river cruise up the Tigre River Delta near Buenos Aires, we passed this old relic resting permanently against the river bank. In decay it had a certain charm of it's own, like an old weathered building in a ghost town.
A new roof is all this charming fixer upper needs to be good as new. Well, OK, that and maybe some new siding. Umm, yes and maybe some new windows. Probably a new floor. Maybe some paint? :-) Seen in Orange County Virginia USA (isn't it amazing how the chimneys are still standing upright?)
Yes, this is my shoulder. It is the result of an operation I had done six years ago to repair my shattered clavicle. 6 titanium screws and a titanium plate hold it all together.
It's good as new now :)
