Canadian Pacific's eastbound freight 286 rolls through Watertown, and had a repair victim in tow. I'm unsure what happened to CP 5719, but it has a rather beat up replacement radiator section and high hood end from an incident that occurred in Bensenville yard on June 4, 2020. The UP 1999 and UP 1885 were on the yard lead with a Bensenvelle to Proviso transfer, when they had a cut of cars shoved into them. The UP 1885 was nothing but parts and pieces lying around and the UP 1999 didn't look terrible, but it appears the CP took ownership of at least the 1999, or parts of it anyway, to repair it's own CP 5719. I'm not sure where it's heading for further repair, or scrap, but there was a time St Paul would have had it looking like new.

The work was at high pace to repair Notre Dame Cathedral in September, as seen with the cranes and workers in the roof.

For years the signals at Leeds Jct haven't worked since a car accident took out the signal box... even still the junction has had a manual throw switch to the branch, and either end of the siding, for as long as I can remember.... CSX will be upgrading all this area so in a few years it will look entirely different with control switches and new signals. For now, they survey their new prize.

Dann wollen wir mal den Tag langsam beginnen. Da ich heute frei habe, konnte ich erst mal den Morgen in aller Ruhe genießen. Jetzt wollen wir mal langsam schauen mit welchen samtgleichen Tüll ich mein Körper verdenke und dann gehts auch nachher schon ab zum Kollegen. Das herrliche Wetter wird willkommen geheißen und mit einer Grillodyssee gefeiert.
Hoffentlich hilft es dabei das wir langsam den Frühling halten können und diese graue, nasse und kalte Zeit ein Ende hat.
Ich freu mich auf jeden Fall schon extrem auf Olli und mein leckerchen Sucuk.
Ich denk an euch, während ich die Zeit genieße. ;)

I had good intentions of shooting a fence for Friday and instead ended up in the produce section of my local grocery store surrounded by color and texture, almost feeing like spring :)

Took this shot on one of the participants right before the start of the parade. Everyone was in their own little corners, resting, fixing and applying makeup and props. Perfect time to go near and ask permission to take their pictures.

Was not really possible to get the good sun without the high tension wire tower. I have passed this for almost 20 yrs promising myself I would stop tp get the pic. About a week ago, I followed up. I never go by when I don't imagine what it would be like to buy it and fix it up.

I'm always amazed by how even the ugliest subject can look incredibly beautiful when viewed at just the right angle... and in just the right light! There is hope for me yet! ;)

Like this stunning little fix-me-upper in the tiny, miniscule (no-horse) town called "Herold"... which I never even knew existed before today!?
