Old abandoned farmhouse overlooking a pretty lake, just crying out for a little TLC.

What a lovely home it must have been at one time and probably could be again. But I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years, it is replaced by a condo complex. :(

These small town mechanics sure love to take there time fixing a scooter.

The former Nickel Plate Road roundhouse in Bellevue, long unused by NS, is missing its roof and has trees growing in the old inspection pits.

Another favorite from my little afternoon 'FL9 Fix' down on the Cape.

Ex CDOT FL9 #2026 (blt. Sept. 1957 as NH 2007) is leading a six car dinner train with sister FL9 #2011 (blt. Sept. 1960 as NH #2038) on the south end headed north passing Aptuxcet at MP 56 on Mass Coastal Railroad's MassDOT owned Cape Mainline. They are on the move again after pausing briefly to await confirmation from the bridge operator that he would be lowering the 544 foot span across the Cape Cod Canal that is just over a mile ahead.

This scenic spot sits right in someone's backyard with a nice wide view of the marine traffic on the canal. Overhead is the 2,384 ft long and 274 ft tall Bourne Bridge carrying the four lanes of busy Route 28. It and sister Sagamore bridge to the east were constructed by the Public Works Administration in conjunction with the federal project to expand the canal's width to 480 feet and its depth to 32 feet. Built between 1933 and 1935 for the United States Army Corps of Engineers, which owns, operates and maintains both highway bridges as well as the railroad bridge and the canal itself.

Trink fix was a popular instant drinking chocolate in the former GDR. Quite expensive, however, and only available in special "delicatessen" shops. Shown here in the break room of the former Brandenburg steelworks, now an industrial museum.

The intergalactic Wanderer arrives upon a desolate landscape. Being a “fixer”, he takes in his surroundings and sees nothing but decay and destruction. He spies a toolbox on the ground and, upon examining its contents, sees that the tools are inadequate for the tasks at hand, but he is determined to get to work. Just as he bends over to retrieve the decrepit toolbox with its rusty contents, a green mist begins to creep across the ground in front of him. “What is this devilry?”

At the remote Waitapu Wharf, sitting high and dry, I imagine for years is this once proud ship. Waiting for the owner to fix her up perhaps? On a cool and cloudy day in Golden Bay, South Island, New Zealand

Needs a little buffing but it should come out.

For sale cheap! Needs a bit of repair work.
