Five Oaks was designed by the noted Cleveland architect Charles F. Schweinfurth and built 1892-1894 for Mr. and Mrs. J. Walter McClymonds at a cost of $200,000. The name was adopted from five oak trees that stood on the lawn. An oak motif, employing designs of the acorn, leaf, and tree, is used extensively in the house. Five Oaks is a treasure in historic Massillon for all to experience.
Now the home of the Massillon Womans Club.

Less saturated colors that are lighter in value are less dramatic than the contrasty, saturated versions put up so far. Also, garishness goes into decline.
The inseparable attributes of St. John of Nepomuk statue are the five stars, a surplice, a cross and a martyr´s palm tree. The five stars allegedly appeared above the river, after the martyr was thrown there.
There is a brassy cross with five stars at the place on the parapet, where he was thrown to the river. If you place your hand on the cross, so that every finger will touch one star, you can wish something and it will be fulfilled.

Each front is adorned with a translucent image of a woman from around the world, all sisters to the Queen. The Queen Bee, Hymenoptera, invited you to see deep into the blue spectrum. Those wanting to light candles to the Queen, for their own desires or to honor the bees, leave treasures for her in her beehive basket.
