Five Barrows is a series of eight Bronze Age burial mounds, believed to have been constructed over a very long period of town – perhaps (according to one source) as long as 500 years. Someone had conveniently put a trig point on top, which appeared to be home to several ladybirds.

Troop 14 has been continuously chartered since June 21, 1925. Since the emblems are only available in five year increments, ours is the 85-year emblem (as of this writing, the troop is actually 87 years old).

Series of six. I spotted one of these lovely moths and tried to follow it but it was not settling and flew off. The next one I decided to try to get in flight, with reasonable results, then I came across several in the act of mating and they did not fly anywhere!

I just got back from a road trip to the U.S. East Coast with my friend Jim and his son. One of the stops was at Lighthouse Point Park and this is the Five Mile Lighthouse.

Was walking along the tracks. No camera. Taking pictures with my phone. This train was going less than five miles per hour. Phone froze up. By the time the phone came back up the train was picking up speed.

There aren't actually five corners here anymore, but for a time there were. 12th Street (foreground) used to continue past the intersection with Broadway, and University Drive made up the fifth "corner". Even though the streets have been realigned, the name stuck.
