Photography software used to edit this image: Topaz Studio I have really been enjoying the new Topaz Studio in my workflow as it has a lot of creative filters and cutting edge A.I. apps to enhance my images. Plus I always use Adobe Photoshop CC & Lightroom CC.
Fitzroy Falls is one of many waterfalls that have carved out the cliffs and valleys between the Southern Highlands and the Illawarra escarpment areas. As a kid growing up in these amazing location I have some great memories of swimming with platypus, seeing echidnas explore the bush, watching wombats bash their way through the lower brush and always a favourite is seeing a mob of kangaroos leap and bound across the landscape. There are a lot of great swimming holes around here and the water is always so clean and clear. You can also do long canoe trips on some of the bigger rivers like the Wingecarribee and Kangaroo

Fitzroy Falls is part of the dramatic geological canyons and escarpments in Morton National Park, approximately 100 km south west of Sydney.
Mount Fitzroy, in Argentine Patagonia. This is near the small town of El Chalten, which is a popular base for hikers wanting to explore the mountains on the Argentine side of Patagonia. My biggest memory of Patagonia is the wind. When I took this photo the wind was so strong that my eyes were watering, like when you put your head out of the car when you are on the highway!
This incredibly intricate piece by Shawn Lu in Fitzroy only lasted about a week and is already painted over.
Fitzroy Falls and Morton National Park is in the southern Highlands of New South Wales in Australia. Small creeks and rivers dramatically drop over sandstone cliffs, deep into the canyons below, particularly when there has been recent heavy rain.
The national park is characterised by its diverse geology and rich Aboriginal history, which is typical for the surrounding area around Sydney.. The park's geology encompasses a range of features, including sandstone cliffs, deep gorges, limestone caves, and waterfalls, shaped over millions of years through geological processes such as erosion and uplift. Aboriginal peoples, including the Dharawal, Yuin, and Gundungurra peoples, have inhabited the area for thousands of years, leaving behind a cultural legacy of rock art, ceremonial sites, and tools. The park is home to significant Aboriginal sites, such as rock shelters and engravings, which provide insights into the spiritual and cultural practices of the region's traditional custodians.
The days are still very cool but daffodils are popping up all over Fitzroy Gardens towards the end of winter. Today was one of those rare winter days in Melbourne where the sun shined all day, with no sudden changes in weather.

Interior, former Laurie & MacConnell store, Fitzroy Street, Cambridge, 30 Sep 2025
Waited over 10 years to attempt this shot.
This is the atrium of the former department store.
When I started this series it was an HMV store and the atrium was full of clutter.
Then it was Wilko and even more clutter and hanging stuff.
Then it was empty for several years.
Now it is Sports Direct and minimal clutter!
Need to revist to get more shots!
