Fitzroy mountain range in the deep shadows just before sun sets in creates strong contrast between last light in the clouds and deep blues of the snow and glaciers.

Sunrise looking up at Fitzroy and Poincenot mountain peaks from the small river that winds it's way down from the glacier in the mountains.This was pretty much the view from the tent most mornings after a very short walk in to the woodland's below the mountain range.
Port Fitzroy is situated at the northern end of Great Barrier Island, New Zealand. There is one ferry a week from Auckland, a five hour trip. With its general store and wharf it is the centre of the northern part of the island. It was a pleasant surprise that the island's main road had been tar sealed since I first visited 30 years ago. I was touring the place by mountain bike and it was nice not having to deal with dust. Great Barrier Island is still off the grid and will likely remain that way, a dark sky sanctuary. Port Fitzroy is totally protected from any wind direction which makes it a popular anchorage for visiting yachties. The panorama is stitched from 5 vertical frames.

Clear sky afterglow of early blue hour provides a backdrop to the silhouette of Mount Fitzroy mountain range in Patagonia. Late fall color of Lenga tress foliage is a perfect match to the sky color palette.
The Fitzroy Mountain Range at sunrise taken from a large forest area below the mountain range.This forest was home for 5 days camping in the forest otherwise it would mean a hard 10km hike every day from town to this place.
Fitzroy and Cerro Torre mountain peaks just as the early morning sunlight starts to light up the mountains with a orange glow.
Fitzroy Falls are located in the Blue Mountains in Australia. A beautiful place for many forms of landscape photography. Hope you enjoy this vertical panorama.
